OYO Myeongdong 5 Lodge

Very helpful staff on reception. Staff carried my suitcase up and down the external stairs to the upper floor of the lodge. Security was good (3 keypads between street and room). Breakfast (cereal and toast) was supplied. Comfortable bed. T.V. in the room. Instructions on how to get to OYO were good.

The ensuite bathroom was basically a large shower area containing a toilet and handbasin. Took one look and realised one shouldn't hang the towel on the towel rail in the ensuite bathroom and used one of the clothes hooks in the room outside the ensuite. Couldn't get the wi-fi to work as there were too many competing wi-fi's in the area.

Breakfast was ok but the staff was great

Staff showed good attitude to us. Also, they helped us to take the luggage onto 1/F floor so we don’t need to take it by ourselves and walk up the stairs which I appreciated so much. Staff introduced us about how to get to our room and showed us how to assess by all the entrances by inputting the passwords.

There is no electronic hot kettle inside our room. If we need water, we have to go back to the pantry in the common area which is just next to the reception.

The property is in a good location, near train station and easily accessible. It is also close to shops and staff was nice. Laundry service is available.

The bed was very small for two people, it wasnt a real double bed. The room also felt muggy and when opening the window sewege smell came in so there was no real way to refresh. We would wake up sweating unfortunately. Also the sheets were of a weird material not breathable so that wouldnt help. The bathroom was small but fine, only critique as many toilets in south korea you cant flush toilet paper in the toilet..
