2-bedroom apartment in Athina (Filopappou)

Fantastic quiet location only 15 mins from the acropolis. Lots of cafes that are off the tourist areas. Apartment was absolutely perfect for us, amazing space and little balcony. Top floor so no noise from above. Air con worked fine for us and shower was no issue. View of the sea from the back balcony and lift to take luggage. It had everything we needed.

Unfortunately we did not sleep as well as we hoped as both beds were extremely creaky to the point that one of us tried to sleep on couch. Would be great for owner to update this as it really is the only downside of this perfect property.

Flat was ideal for our family of four adults - lots of space, good wi-fi, good kitchen facilities (including a large oven and a washing machine - instructions in Greek so download Google Translate and use the camera facility), and, best of all, two toilets. Very quiet location right next to Philopappos Hill with lovely views across the city, but sadly the Parthenon is just out of view around the corner. There are local shops, restaurants and supermarkets nearby (within 5 minutes walk) making self-catering and eating out easy. The Sgyrou-Fix metro stop is about 5-10 minutes walk away, which was ideal for transport to and from the airport (and to get to the Olympic Stadium for the concert we had booked for), but otherwise we found we could walk just about everywhere we wanted to go.

I would have liked a bit more information about basic housekeeping e.g what to do with the bins. other than that, everything was fine.

Great location! Open and spacious! Clean and tidy!

Views were not as impressive as just was able to see the city rooftops. Walk up was challenging as the road up was steep, especially felt harder with luggage. But we managed- as only had concern on checking in and out.

Die Sauberkeit war sehr gut. Gute Ausstattung und einen sehr schönen Ausblick in beide Richtungen. Die Räume waren groß und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, da wir ausreichend Platz hatten. Die Ausstattung war gut und Umfangreich.

Die Betten waren zum einnen zu klein *1,20 m als Doppelbett zu bezeichnen geht für Mitteleuropär nicht. Das W-Lan war schrecklich es kann als das schlechteste Internet bezeichnet werden, was ich in den letzten 8 Jahren erlebt habe; ISDN wäre superchnell gewesen. Die Dieselgeruch vom Keller, der im ganzen Haus war und teilweise in die Wohnung eindrang war nicht angenehm und auch nicht gesundheitsfördern.
