Índigo

Casa Indigo is more like a little townhouse with its own separate entrance, arranged over two levels. It has a living/dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and, best of all, a huge rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the sea. The house has been recently renovated and is exceptionally clean. It is very well equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay, including all the essentials that are sometimes surprisingly missing in holiday rentals: shower gel, shampoo, laundry detergent and dishwashing supplies. There is also a washing machine and two fans. The house is a great option for a family. There is one bedroom with a double bed and another with a single bed, and it is also possible to sleep in the living room. For us, the terrace was definitely the highlight of the house. There is a shaded area where you can escape the sun during the day, while in the evening it is simply wonderful to sit outside, have dinner and enjoy a glass of wine while looking out over the sea. We spent a lot of time there. Fidel, the host, was kind and responsive. He gave us a very warm welcome, and we particularly appreciated the possibility of an early check-in.

The only downside for us was the temperature at night. We stayed in August, and despite having two fans, it was still quite hot in the bedroom as there is not much natural airflow. We would therefore suggest that the owner consider providing a more powerful fan or installing air conditioning. A practical tip if you are travelling without a car: Casa Indigo is located on a hill, so getting there with heavy luggage can be a bit of a workout. There is, however, a free public lift that takes you much closer to the house. It is located about 300 metres away. We strongly recommend asking Fidel to send you the exact location of the lift — it makes a big difference, especially with suitcases.

Está muy nuevo, y tenía de todo. Es muy cómodo. Aparcamiento en la puerta. Muy cerca del centro de la ciudad.

Por poner alguna pega, en la azotea se podría instalar una barbacoa, por ejemplo.

El apartamento es tal cual se ve en las fotos. Estaba limpio, bien equipado, tranquilo, y era fácil encontrar aparcamiento en la zona. Nos ha gustado mucho y no tenemos duda de que si volvemos a La Palma nos alojaremos aquí de nuevo.

Kitchen is nice

Main bedroom is too hot with no air flow with an internal window, the double mattress is cheap and very soft and sinks right in so the room is unusable. I had to use the single room which had an external window and a decent mattress but they didn't even bother to make the bed so there was no sheets or pillow case on it. The living room is really badly laid out with the sofa backing onto the window so you get the sun on your back and the TV faces the window so you can't see it with sun glare, which means you have to close the shutters which stops all the air coming in!! Thoughtless layout. There is no self check-in, they tell you you have to send them a message when you arrive, instead of just waiting for you and have an arranged time to meet, which means you have to stand in the sun with bags waiting for them or you may not have roaming data when you're abroad to send messages either, so it's inconsiderate and thoughtless. And they are not friendly, hospitable or welcoming. Didn't leave me enough cloths / tea towels either
