About this cottage rental
Glen Muick is a beautiful 15 000hA estate on the Eastern Cairngorms between Balmoral and Glen Tanar.
Grouse, Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Osprey, Red Deer, Roe Deer, Otters and much much more are found in abundance on these estates.
The Mill is south facing with views south down Glen Muick towards Lochnagar and The Coyles of Muick. North are views up Gairn Shiel and Morven.
Crofts Mill is a large solid traditional 18th Century Mill building over 3 floors and was restored in 2008. All the rooms are generously proportioned and no new window openings were required. All the original 2 foot thick stonework has been kept with the original window and door openings used.
Enter into the large dining kitchen with a 6 seater dining table looking out onto 8 foot wide patio doors, these lead out onto the patio with picnic table and benches.
The kitchen leads up to the sitting room with north and east facing windows and a southerly large 5' wide window which would have originally been the loading door the cart would have delivered the barley to the Mill. Leather sofas, 48" tv, dvd, denon hifi.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms both with ensuite.
Downstairs is a twin bedroom and utility room with freezer, tumble dryer, ironing board, internal clothes line, boiler and washing machine.

Wonderful cottage in a great location with which to explore the Cairngorms.
The cottage itself was clean, bright, easy to find, and had everything you could need. Check in was easy and the owners were very helpful and communicative.
Most everything you could need is in Ballater, a couple of miles away, including a grocery, petrol station, health center, and a number of restaurants and pubs.
Walks are available right outside the door and only about a 20 minute drive to Lock Muick, which was one of the highlights of our trip.
We had a terrific stay and would absolutely book again. Five stars!

Clean tidy. All facilities present. Perfect quiet location, with easy access to village providing good local amenities.
Nice walks from the cottage if you don’t want to travel.
Stunning scenery. Deeside in the sunshine.
Who needs to travel abroad.👍👍👍
