Dimora Lucrezia

Everything was perfect. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The apartment is spacious and lovely. The only downside was some street noise, which might bother light sleepers, but that’s not related to the apartment itself.

Nothing to complain.

Our host, Vita, went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and to be helpful during our much too short stay in Matera, including giving us a ride to the bus station that was further away. The apartment is very spacious very comfortable and equipped with everything you need including a coffee machine, tea kettle and enough dishes and pots and pans to cook with and feed a family, if you are there for several days . When we arrived, Vita presented us with a loaf of the famous Matera bread, which is truly like no other. The location is a short walk from the town center and the Sassi and there are several great restaurants all in the same area. It’s very hot in August so we unfortunately had to pass on some of the heavier dishes, but the food in Matera is delicious! Everyone we encountered in Matera was extremely friendly and helpful, beginning with an older gentleman who helped us find Dimora Lucrezia- and turned out to be a family member of Vita’s. There were only two of us on this trip but this apartment could easily and comfortably accommodate a family or a small group of friends. Lovely apartment. Spacious and with everything one needs. Very close to Matera main centro yet far enough away to be peaceful
