Great stay, ideal location

Such a perfect location, so close to the beaches and the town- all walkable. Good price and perfect for friends. Would stay again, had a great time! Free beach things that came with the house which was a bonus :)

Mattresses were a little bit uncomfortable and cottage is small but didn’t bother us. Parking space was a bit tight but manageable

Its location is ideal for beach walks, with the dogs, the parking is so handy and safe. Shops and eateries so close!

There is little to dislike but, as I pointed out earlier, the kitchen waste was overflowing outside, the bathroom door has a noisy squeak, and no doorstops fitted so not very private. Also, the towel rail came away due to poor fitting in a hollow wall. What bothered me most was that one leg of the bed was breaking through the floor! This certainly needs fixing, before becoming a more serious problem.

Fabulous weekend in a perfect little bolthole.

Primarily we booked this property for its location and it didn’t disappoint. It was an easy 18 minute walk from the train station and a 3 minute walk from the harbour beach, Porthgwidden beach and Porthmeor beach mention within easy reach of the town. It is so central but so quiet, absolutely no noise overnight at all. It was very easy to find, and although we didn’t use it the parking space is a real bonus. The best and bedding clean and co for table, kitchen with everything you need and the hosts kindly supplied teabags, coffee and milk to get us started. There is a lovely cornershop nearby for essentials but as the hosts recommend do think about what shopping you need before you arrive.

Nothing not to like really. If I am going to be very picky the bathroom doesn’t have much head height, but this is a minor point. The hosts have squeezed everything they can put of the space available, and the shower is powerful and roomy.

Very nice, cozy, cleanliness rating 5, a wonderful place to stay for the whole family. Highly recommend will book again. With free biscuits, tea, lots of toilet paper and clean towels. Amazing feedback reminiscing the experience or guest book!! I love it;)

Very minimal changes needed washing machine instead of dishwasher. The double deck bed needs new mattress. New set of half boarding, books, game boards and book bind the rules and how to dos.

A great location but the house needs a few updates for the price- especially a different front door!

The host was very kind in accommodating an early check in and to let us store our bags before we left. The cottage is in a wonderful location for all the beaches (within a short walk) and has carparking for those who need it.

My husband had to climb in through the kitchen window with the help of the housekeeper to unlock the front door (which had got locked at the bottom part of the door from the inside by the cleaner or previous occupants) The window was very old and this wasn't really a very safe thing to do but we needed to get inside with our young kids after a long journey. There were some broken fittings inside like a set of drawers in the kids room with loose screws and wood coming off/sticking out. There wasn't quite enough bedding for the kids mentioned in our booking.

Location was amazing no need to drive anywhere once the car was parked. Very clean and comfortable cottage.

So many things that didn’t work!!! Oven missing buttons, work top is bad state of disrepair, extractor fan, stable door & poor decoration due to water damage and faulty shower rosette. All of these let down an almost perfect first impression.

Great little cottage right in the heart of everything!

We thought the cottage was lovely. It was a nice touch leaving welcome tea biscuits and fudge.

The bottom bunk mattress was really rather uncomfortable, I could feel the springs and I really think it needs replacing.

Perfect location

You couldn’t have a better location - a quick walk to all the beaches and town! Very sizeable and well equipped kitchen, and comfortable lounge to relax in. As mentioned in a few other reviews, the property is a bit tired, but the owners seem to be very proactive on making changes suggested!

Great location, great to have private parking, great pillows , 1x comfy bed, 1x not so comfy, adequate kitchen and bathroom. 2 x couples would be a squeeze , 3 x adults, OK OK, stop for couple of nights in comfy cosy cottage

Some repairs are required. The cottage is starting to show some wear and tear , with some TLC needed in the kitchen and bathrooms.. If your 6ft tall like me , low attic ceiling in the bathroom and stairs can be a constant challenge

Good stay in St Ives

Quirky little place but the property needs some TLC. It has everything needed for a short stay and we were comfortable over the weekend. Could benefit from having a small hoover to help keep on top of the sand. The location is great and parking so helpful.

Missing curtains in kitchen & no blind/ curtain on living room door, in need of updating/decorating in places. Light not working on fire & extractor fan not working in bathroom. Very small parking space with involves parking partially on a raised area, lucky we came in our fiat 500 & not our van.

It was ok

We really liked the location, also the fact that there was a second bunk bed room as we used this as our changing room as the main bedroom is very small. The decor was nice and it was warm in the house.

The kitchen could have done with a blind at the window and maybe the crockery all washed not some after each guests visits. The entrance door could have done with a long curtain to keep the wind and rain noise out and it would have made it a little more cosy. The bathroom shower cubicle doors didn't close properly. The parking space is very small.

Easter break in St Ives

Loved the location and the general feel of the cottage. Bunk beds were a big highlight for the kids! Really good communication from very nice owners. Kitchen well equipped with appliances and utensils.

The water seemed to take a while to get hot in the shower & bath.

Christmas stay

The location was perfect, very central, and great for the dogs to go on the beach. Parking directly outside is great and very quiet around the property.

The first night, we had no electricity, not the properties fault, but maybe a torch or some candles at the property for any future outages would be helpful. We also couldn't get the bottom part of the oven to work. The boiler needs looking at as would make loud noises at times, not sure if it's a pressure issue.

generally everything was fine, but the shower did leak a little down in to the kitchen, and there are two holes in the bedroom floor that the bed legs fall down, it was only the carpet that stopped it lol.

A small quirky house that needs some internal improvements.

Location was excellent. Private parking outside the house was a real bonus. House was well equipped.

House could do with a deep clean, especially shower room. Some repairs required; blinds on velux windows broken, extractor fan in bathroom not working, loose toilet seat, loose/peeling paintwork in places. Kitchen and front door could have curtain or blind.
