Relaxed and comfortable home away from home

Everything was brilliant, quiet location, cosy, clean and welcoming property. Had some lovely touches for the holiday season too. Host is fantastic. Would love to stay longer next time to explore the area

Location was perfect for the lakes. Accommodation was perfect with plenty of space., the 2 bathrooms were a nice surprise. Beds were comfortable and it was very clean with everything you might need.

Very clean property, though a little tired with a few items needing to be fixed or replaced.

Very clean and heating worked well. Easy to enter property on arrival. Extra large bath sheets provided. Plenty of cleaning goods.

Dishwasher and Microwave didn't work. Double bed was extremely uncomfortable, although the pillows were lovely and soft. No dust pan and brush for a small spillage we had.

Decor and furniture are pretty worn. Dishwasher out of order, microwave has no labels left by the buttons, oven is the same, sofas are comfy (but cushions are torn) Mostly all functional, but definitely needs a refresh.

Quiet comfortable place to fully relax!

Lovely unit on a wonderfully quiet site. Great facilities for comfort and fully equipped kitchen. Great double bed, good linen and plenty of towels. The host was warm welcoming and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. I can highly recommend!

Comfortable lodge in a great location.

Lovely spacious and cosy lodge, well equipped and in a pleasant location. Easy to get to the lake district and attractions in Carlisle or Penrith.

We struggled a bit with the lack of WiFi as our phones didn't always have good enough reception for data.

Spacious, comfortable, well equipped, warm, fully working appliances, plenty of towels, bedding, extra blankets, designated parking space. Communication with the host was excellent, Joanne is friendly, helpful and does everything she can to make sure that you have a great stay. Location is clean, easy to find, quiet and perfect for exploring the area.

Affordable and everything you need

Very impressed with this holiday home for the price! It's super cosy with lovely decor, I personally loved the mismatched decor - it was quirky and homely. The lodge was clean and has everything you need for a few nights. The living area is open and spacious, bed is comfy, plenty of space and hangers for clothes, everything you need for self catering in the kitchen. There was tea and coffee, and ample toilet roll. Whilst there's no WiFi included, there is WiFi available. You can buy 5 days for £20 or if you are BT/EE customer (we are), it's completely free - just log into your account. You can't connect the TV direct to this, but you can connect your phone to the WiFi and then hot spot to the TV. We've been able to watch our Netflix, Amazon and NOW TV this way. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

The accommodation was clean and very spacious! Rooms we good sizes and beds comfortable. Was lovely to have the use of the decking when the weather was nice. Great value for money and was perfect for what we needed. Would Highley recommend! Great communication from the Host.

The only downside to this property was no WIFI!! If WiFi was installed, this would be a 10/10 rating.

Quiet

The lodge was very tired and needs updating and modernising. My wife has bites all over her stomach and these appear to be from bed bugs The kitchen utensils and glasses/pans were minimal and not enough for the numbers the lodge was supposed to accommodate. No large pans to cook with. No wine glasses and one beer glass. Some of the knives were blunt.

Spacious and comfortable

Very spacious 3 bedroom caravan with 1 ensuite and another bathroom. Kitchen complete with oven, cooker, dish washer, fridge and freezer. Comes with a dining table and chairs. Complete with a comfortable living room and set of sofas with a tv accessible to netflix. It also has a set of table and chairs outside. Parking was just at a door step. Amenities include a children playground and a bin area. Staff Joanne was very responsive to message

Lovely peaceful place

The site is so peaceful the caravan is lovely and a good size, it had everything we needed loved that it had 2 bathrooms, the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. It is only 15 mins from Carlisle and about 30 mins to Gretna Green outlet we visited both also talking tarn, Brampton and the village near the site - we will definitely be going back 😊
