Right on Main St with Historic Vibe!

Prima locatie. Sfeervolle kamer. Netjes (op vlekken het onderlaken van het bed na). Groot genoeg en ruim voorzien van allerlei faciliteiten op de kamer. Ook goede faciliteiten zoals restaurants en kroegetjes direct in de buurt. Mooie ligging precies tussen Beale Street en het Civil Rights Museum in. Ook andere bezienswaardige plekken zijn goed te doen.

De deur klemt maar dat wisten wij niet. Wij hadden tot 10 keer toe geprobeerd binnen te komen, bij aankomst. Ook nog gebeld en gemaild maar dat liep niet. Toen maar een keer een hele flinke ruk aan de deur gegeven na invoeren van de code. Dat werkte wel. Andere gasten hadden daar ook last van. Het zou goed zijn om dit in de instructie aan te geven. Het is maar een kleinigheidje maar als je bij aankomst 's avonds om half elf niet binnenkomt en geen contact kunt leggen is dat wel spannend.

Location was fantastic. The apartment was clean and all appliances were useful and of good quality. The private parking was useful.

Only the stairs full carrying heavy luggage , but we were already informed of this so it was not a surprise.

The location was nice. The apartment had all the basics we needed. The air conditioning was good.

Communication with “Midtown Stays”, the group managing the apartment, needs work. It felt like I was communicating with 2 separate groups. I was supposed to get check in info once I paid Booking.com, but didn’t get it in a timely manner. I was asked to pay the $16 tourist tax which I did. Then I got another email again asking to pay or the stay would be cancelled. Once I proved I had paid, I got another email telling me I needed to submit payment info for the security deposit. I did and then got another email again saying I had to submit payment info or the stay would be cancelled. I sent another email saying that I did and that was finally acknowledged. Fast forward two weeks when I received my credit card bill. There were 2 charges of the $16 tourist tax. When I asked them to remove the second charge, they claimed they only charged me once. After a few email exchanges, they found the 2nd charge and could refund it minus a 4% fee. I was charged a 4% fee on their mistake! It’s not much money, but it was just the last straw. I would not want them managing my property. They also asked to give names, birthdates, photo ids and selfies of all the people staying in the apartment? Why? We never saw anyone from the apartment or the management group. Why did they need all that info? When we arrived, I tried to use the door code I received. It didn’t work and I finally called the number I was given and they told me the code I used only worked on the apartment door - not on the building door. The correct code was step 2 on the check in instructions. I never received them until after I called. The website said basic toiletries were included. There was only hand soap. They said there was laundry detergent above the washer but it was empty. The microwave didn’t work. No one came to fix it and the only help I got was to flip the breaker. That didn’t work. There were not enough bars/hooks in the bathroom for 4. There were no dressers for unpacking.
