Underwhelming

Room was well designed and furnished.

Room was fitted with a ceiling smoke detector which had a very bright permanent green light, making sleeping without eye shades impossible. Double bed was far too small for a couple. Lots of late night disturbances from adjoining guests and outside in street too. Breakfast not available until 10.30am which is far too late.

Excellent stay we will be back

This property is nicely located in the heart of the town. It has a nice and prince that is safe with a code on the door to you then and a code to get into your room very clean very modern and well decorated. We felt very comfortable here. The restaurant was amazing. The food was lovely and we will definitely return.

Looked exactly same as the photos, cosy and modern room with nice decor and very nice bathroom, and at a great price!! Able to stream Netflix on the tv was a bonus!!

Was a little noise on one of the nights from downstairs but only a little and finished up before bedtime…

Beautiful room, exceptionally comfortable in the most idyllic spot.

Beautiful room, super comfortable beds and the perfect location. We had a lovely time the room is very spacious and plenty of room for me and the two teenagers. Even though it’s on the Main Street it was very quiet.

The coffee machine would work and there were a few spots that a bit of more of a thorough clean

After dining with family at the Artis, we stayed overnight in Strangford. Best decision ever.

We did not avail of the breakfast, but would like to sample next time. The location was a gem and would definitely hopefully soon. It was peaceful and calm. We also booked a table next in the restaurant next to our table and the person who waited at our table, was wonderful.

Short Stay

Centrally located, easy walk to several restaurants.. restaurant staff in the Artisan were very helpful and pleasant, and breakfasts were delicious .

Self checkin with 2 different 5 digit numbers meant you always need to have phone open to access these. Room pretty small but meticulously decorated and exceptionally clean, but unfortunate for us we were above the restaurant kitchen with a very loud extraction system outside our window, which went all night on the 1st night, leading to no sleep at all.. after mentioning in a phone call to staff on 2nd day, was told it had been left on accidentally and assured it would be off on night 2, which it was.. breakfast was offered complimentary on our 2nd morning, but didn't really make up for the lack of sleep which resulted in a day of tiredness, and when you suffer from fibromyalgia sleep is important.. perhaps a call from the proprietor of the Lough Rooms after messaging to say we had checked in, or after I made contact with what appeared to be the restaurant staff about the noise, would have been appreciated. But overall a lovely area to stay in.

Roomy and comfortable. Perfect room temperature and lovely to have snacks and fresh water /tea/coffee in room . The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had prebooked restaurant and the food was exceptional!! Loved everything about our short stay and will definitely book again . Thank you

Comfortable rooms above the restaurant attached to the property

The property is in the village, just above the excellent restaurant. There is a pub across the road, and another down by the ferry terminal. Restaruant staff gave us our access code and showed us to our room. The rooms have been refurbished to a high spec. Very comfortable if somewhat small.

All in all wonderful, I will be back

Beautifully located in the village centre, easy access to the waterfront and wonderful trails. Modern boutique style decoration, clean and functional with ample space. Highly functional and beautiful bathroom with great shower. Very comfortable. An extra was the great coffee available in the room. Extremely friendly staff and great food in the restaurant.

I would definitely recommend a stay here - the staff are great!

The room was great - it was well equipped, the décor was great and the staff were amazing! The breakfast was very tasty, and location was great.

Unfortunately the heating in the room didn't work, but we were moved to a better room and given some lovely desserts in compensation. Fantastic treatment by the owner and staff!!
