A touch of class!
WOW what a touch of class this place was. A beautiful place in the best location, hole in the wall pub for the best Guinness and artisan kitchen for wonderful food right on your doorstep. We did a sauna at castle ward too. Everything about this accommodation was so thoughtful, from the very personalised welcome (so appreciative of this, thank you!) to the firewood, the bits for making tea and I could go on! The place looks like it's had a few upgrades recently, the bathroom being particularly stunning and in general the place was just spotless and really comfortable. Lots of room and a great big table for drinks and breakfast. It's Christmas time and there was even a gorgeous big tree and a wreath on the door! We couldn't recommend this place highly enough - book it!

Just Wonderful.
The Round House was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Strangford. to attend a wedding. We were greeted by the most beautiful and much appreciated basket of essentials and treats.The whole place was spotlessly clean and extremely spacious. Although there were just two of us there was plenty of room for a family or group of friends.The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need even if catering for a group.The bathroom was stunning and again very spacious. There is even a lovely and very private siiting area at the back of the property,ideal for sitting out in good weather. The property is situated just two minutes walk to the ferry quay where you can hop on the ferry to Portaferry where we went for an evening out, at a superb Indian retaurant. There are two well stocked supermarkets right by The Round House as well as a chemist. There are a few restaurants in the village though most only open from Thursday to Sunday. The Cuan Hotel/pub/ restaurant however is open every night. The owner of The Round House was extremely responsive replying to texts quickly and kindly making this a perfect and thoroughly faultless place to stay. We will be back.
There was absolutely nothing we didn't like about our stay. It was perfect.
