About this house rental
If you are dreaming of a “get away from it all” at an authentic beach cottage you need to experience Little Caper. A beloved vacation home for many years, Little Caper has great ocean views and is a quick one-block walk to the beach. It is located on a dead-end street away from the noise and traffic of Highway 101. The cottage boasts a spacious, wrap-around deck and large grassy yard which is perfect for play and relaxation.
The cottage has been completely renovated to reflect a casual beach style and has been outfitted with a great deal of thought as to what vacation rental guests might need.
Do you want to create some coastal gourmet meals? Little Caper has a fully stocked kitchen. You can choose to dine indoors or at the outdoor deck dining table. If you're looking for quiet moments you might choose to curl up with a book in front of the wood-burning fireplace. You can listen to music on the CD stereo system or through the iPod hookup. Hoping for some family time after a day on the beach? Little Caper offers a large DVD collection and a flat screen television for your viewing enjoyment. You will find shelves filled with dozens of the owner's favorite books, playing cards and board games for adults and kids alike. You will also find a collection of children's toys as well as a wide array of beach toys for fun in the sand.
If you aren't able to completely turn off the outside world, Little Caper does offer wireless internet and a Smart TV (no cable). When the weather is balmy, take a relaxing nap on one of our outdoor Adirondack chairs, cook up some burgers on the gas grill, or play croquet on the grassy lawn. You can rinse off with our outdoor shower after a day of play on the beach. If you're lucky enough to be here when a coastal storm blows in you simply come inside and watch the flames dance in the wood-burning fireplace. We wouldn't blame you if you make s'mores while the rains and winds are blowing bringing in the glorious clean air that makes Arch Cape sparkle.

What a great find! While the view of the ocean is just a small sliver, hearing the waves from the cottage was amazing. We loved having beach access just down the road—it made it so easy to head out for walks or spend time by the water, and we went often!This little cottage was perfect for the two of us: cozy, comfortable, and just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The rental is managed by Beachcomber Vacation Homes, and they were excellent with communication—providing clear check-in details and following up to make sure we had everything we needed.We requested beach chairs and towels, which were dropped off later that afternoon. While I do wish those items were included from the start (given how close the beach is), the responsiveness was fantastic. It would be helpful if there were a list or menu of available items ahead of time so guests could request them before arrival.One idea for an added perk: one of the local hotels offers a beach bonfire package that includes everything you’d need—firewood, starter, s’mores supplies, matches, wet wipes, and even a bucket of water for safety. We would definitely pay extra for something like this to be available directly through the rental!We also really appreciated being about 10 minutes outside of Cannon Beach—the quieter location was worth it to avoid the crowds, while still being close enough to enjoy the restaurants, shops, and sights in town. For the location, amenities, and comfort, the price was absolutely worth it

The Little Caper is an affordable, convenient, and ideally located property in Arch Cape. With great ocean views and a short 5 min. walk to the beach, this property delivers the essence of a charming beach vacation for all the senses. It is also a short drive to Cannon Beach for shopping and other activities. Although small, the newly remodeled cottage provided enough space with 2 bedrooms - one with large bunk beds and the other a queen size bed. The fully functioning kitchen is open to the living space and the bathroom is also updated. We appreciated the attentive and responsive management group who made check-in and answers to questions simple and quick. We will definitely be recommending this property to others and renting it again for our annual trips.

What a great little find!! Spent every morning on the beach cause it was less than a 5 minute walk. Clean living spaces the kitchen looks small but it’s super functional. I enjoy cooking and was able to make fettuccine Alfredo from scratch. Puzzles and games were available for the kiddo to enjoy and pass the time that we were home.
