The Anderson Trail House - The Oregon Trail ends at the Anderson Trail House! Pull your wagon up to this large ocean view house - it's an ideal hitching post for a fun-filled family vacation. Anderson Trail House is on a sizable lot just three doors down from the beach access in one direction and a few short blocks from the attractions of Tolovana Park in the other.
3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2-story Ocean-view Sleeps 8
The home offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a host of sprawling common areas, and the decor is sure to catch your eye as soon as you enter. Anderson Trail House has been lovingly outfitted with fascinating memorabilia, from old maps and family photos to glass floats and one-of-a-kind beach baubles – including a whale bone displayed on the home’s hearth! The lower level is made up of sleeping areas plus a roomy den that younger visitors will quickly lay claim to: it has couches, a television, and a foosball table. One downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, while the second has two twin beds and a TV. The downstairs den hosts a murphy bed. There’s also a bathroom with a jetted tub and shower on this floor.
The upper level, you’ll find a generous amount of cushy communal space. The living room has a massive couch and gas stove plus plenty of places to curl up and relax with a book from the home’s collection. Anyone with designs on preparing a fancy coastal feast will appreciate the large kitchen, which features a gas stove and bar.
A west-facing deck off the main living area has fantastic ocean views and is the ideal spot for barbecuing in the wonderful coastal air. This floor’s master suite features a queen bed, flat-screen TV and an attached bathroom with a gloriously enormous jetted tub and shower.
Take a walk down memory lane and then make a few memories of your own at this fantastically equipped beach home. Happy Trails!

We have been coming to Cannon Beach for 20 years and have stayed in many rental homes. This was our first time to rent the Anderson House, and overall we were pleased. We enjoyed the location, as we prefer to be in the Tolovana Inn area and especially like the south side. The floor plan of this rental house was great and fit the needs of our family very well. We loved the views from the upstairs family room, porch, and kitchen area especially. However, just a few upgrades would’ve made our stay much nicer. First, the downstairs beds were extremely old and uncomfortable. New comfortable mattresses are quite inexpensive and would have improved our stay greatly! There were also very few towels available, no beach towels, and no extra blankets. No beach were available for guest use; almost every rental house we have stayed in has provided these. Lastly, the reclining chair upstairs was on the brink of falling apart.Again, overall a great house, but just a small monetary investment would improve the value of this house tremendously.

We've been coming down to Cannon Beach for the last 10 years using CBPM, & this was our first time at this vacation home. It had a lot of perks. The location, amount beds/rooms, large dining area and ocean view. You could tell they tried to stock the kitchen with the essentials for all your baking and cooking needs ie. Pots, pans, dishes, knives, utensils, odds and ends. The house needs work though. The carpets were stained/very used, the walls were scuffed and dinged, water stains on the ceiling, and the downstairs had a musty smelled to it. It was just apparent the overall house needed some TLC.
