About this apartment rental
MANATEE COVE Swim and paddle with the manatees! WATERFRONT attached apartment right on the main Weeki Wachee River -- not a canal! Large balcony, private entrance. This is a very rare 1/2 acre property with 130' of waterfront offering uninterrupted views. The guest suite has about 1200 square feet under cover including the 300 sq. foot balcony. Charming second story suite with a full kitchen and a wonderful river panorama. Laundry in lower area. The water from the Weeki Wachee magnitude one spring is lovely and clean and stays at 72 to 74 year round. While most of the manatees are in the river from December to April guests spotted at least one almost every day in the summer. The water is shallow and sandy immediately in front of the house so it is safe for kids. You can wade in directly from the dock and play on a large sandbar. One bedroom has a queen bed the other a double. Eating areas on the balcony or inside. Nearby are excellent hiking trails if you want to take a break from the water. Kayaks provided (3 singles, 1 junior, kayaks my vary. Rentals available nearby). Towels provided. All bedding is brand new. There is also a fenced yard to enjoy and plenty of parking( which is shared with the adjoining unit) with a gate for security. Fishing charters, kayak rentals and boat rentals nearby. Also lots of restaurants from fish fry chow down to finer dining. The BBQ and fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes and the kitchen has everything you need to cook in your Manatee Cove vacation home.

LATE CHECK-OUTS & EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM. Door codes do not activate until set check-in time. Early access will not be provided without prior approval. Guests who check-in early or checkout past checkout time will charged the additional fee of $50/hr.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT: A damage deposit of $100 is required at time of booking. This is collected by credit card. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.
SECURITY CAMERA: There is a security camera facing the driveway that will be on during your stay. Any pets or extra guests seen on property is subject to a charge.

Apartment was spotless and adorable! Beautiful spot for accessing the springs with provided kayaks. Screened in porch offered spectacular views. Only 2 minor issues we had grounds could use a little tlc and communication with owner a little slow {but it was later in the evening}. But would highly recommend and plan to return. Thankyou

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manatee Cove. Spent several days kayaking the river and had a great time. Everything we needed was included and the host was extremely helpful upon checkin. We would definitely stay again.

The water is not as pictured. I rented this place for a week solely to float in the clear water right outside. What I found was murky water with a mushy bottom. Inside is cozy and clean as pictured. The balcony was the best part. Host was very responsive. I left two nights early and ate the cost to go somewhere else. I gave the host a chance to refund and they didn’t because they couldn’t rent it to someone else. Host said it the murky water was due to rain but there’s a drought. I don’t believe the host did everything possible give an accurate description of the current state of the water and didn’t compensate for a misleading description. Had I known I would have gone elsewhere. It was an expensive lesson to learn.
