Step inside to discover a spacious, open living room and kitchen with vaulted ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. After a day of skiing, unwind by the cozy gas logs or prepare a delicious meal in the well-appointed kitchen. The adjoining dining room offers ample seating and classic mountain decor, providing the perfect setting for family dinners or game nights with loved ones.
Retreat to one of the two queen-size beds for a peaceful night's sleep—one located in the main floor primary bedroom and the other in the open loft upstairs. Outside, two covered porch areas beckon with rocking chairs, a porch swing, and a dining table, inviting you to soak in the spectacular mountain scenery and fresh air. An additional table and chairs on an open patio, adorned with hanging lights, create a magical outdoor ambiance for unforgettable evenings under the stars.
Location: This log cabin is located in the heart of Banner Elk, just minutes from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and only 10-15 minutes to Boone and Valle Crucis and approximately 30 minutes to Blowing Rock. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

Very cute house, great location. A hair dryer would have been convenient, and the fireplace wouldn't work. Otherwise a great stay.

Had one small issue which you guys handled quietly and quickly.The location was quiet and close to everything we wanted.I would suggest removing the strings of lights on the front porch. They light up the inside all night.

Perfect little getaway for our family of three. Our son loved the space outside (it snowed lightly the whole time) and the cabin had all the essentials for the extended weekend.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Our favorite part of the house was the front porch. Beautiful view, very quiet neighborhood. The property is within 30 minutes of a variety of great places to visit and eat. The property was generally clean, however, it could benefit from a little more attention to detail when it comes to housekeeping. We noticed several cobwebs, a few insects inside the home, and other small areas that appeared to have been overlooked. Nothing that ruined our stay, but a more thorough cleaning would make a noticeable difference. The home should also be treated by an exterminator. We killed bugs every night we stayed. There were no Keurig pods for the Keurig, although pods were pictured in the listing. It should also be mentioned that this house has no AC. I understand this is not an issue most of the year in this area but for the summer months, this should definitely be noted on the listing. The place got pretty warm even with the windows open and fans running.
