We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was beautiful. The home was very clean and spacious! Our family of 4 felt right at home. We were just minutes away from sugar mountain. We enjoyed snowboarding and coming home to the hot tub! We were able to take a morning hike up the mountain right in front of the house. The fire pit was perfect for gorgeous sunset s’mores. We watched Christmas movies on Apple TV and enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit. Very charming! I would 100% recommend ??

We just returned from an amazing week at the 40 acre retreat home. When we arrived, Banner Elk had just recently gotten a good amount of snow and leading up to the property was gorgeous. The covered parking was great and loads of firewood which was so convenient. The house itself was great. Nice living room and ample bedrooms. Two renovated bathrooms. The kitchen was a little small, but nothing that stopped you from whipping up a big family meal. The property was what this place was all about. The trout pond was frozen over, but the stream was flowing and beautiful and there are endless places for the kids to roam. We tubed down the hill right out back of the house! We made fires outside and enjoyed this gorgeous property. On our last day we got even more snow which made the trip. Super convenient to downtown banner Elk (less than 2 miles) and close to grocery etc.
Diane, the property manager, was the best. She was very attentive to any needs or requests and was always available. She left us some delicious cookies that were eaten up within minutes. There were no worries as she lined up to have the snowy driveway plowed for us. All in all, it was a dream of a trip. The kids - and adults - didn’t want to leave.

What a wonderful home on such gorgeous, private land! Home was perfect for our needs and the wildlife was amazing to watch all over the property! This home is great for families and a walk down the pond to catch endless trout was amazing! We will be back in the future!

The house and the property were everything we hoped for. Hiking around the property, fishing in the pond and relaxing by the fire pit provided lots of fun for adults and children. Close to Banner Elk and Boone. We were lucky to be there during Oktoberfest at Sugar Mountain and it was lots of fun! Will definitely book this house again when we are planning a trip to that area.
