Charming & Cosy Apartment

Friendly and responsive host. Easy check-in with clear instructions and a key lockbox, so you can check in at any time (we landed in Lisbon at 23:00, so this was important to us). Convenient location for getting around, close to the train station, metro, attractions, and Time Out Market. Spacious apartment with a well-equipped kitchen that has everything you need for your stay. Good shower pressure (if that's important to you!). Very good coffee shop just across the road. Little grocery shop a minute away.

I wish there had been reviews mentioning noise when we booked, or that the noise had been mentioned in the description. The apartment faces Tv. dos Remolares and Pink Street/Rua Cor de Rosa, which is very loud and busy in the evenings, with the noise continuing late into the night. The surrounding bars and pubs were especially loud during our first two nights (Wednesday and Thursday) because of the football match in Lisbon. But even without that, the noise from the nightclubs next door, bars and pubs, and cars blasting music on the street below made it very difficult to sleep. Friday night was many times worse. Even with all the windows tightly closed, the disruptive noise inside the bedroom continued until the early hours of the morning. For reference, at night, with just one of the three windows open, the noise level inside was 70 dB+. With all three windows and shutters closed, it dropped to around 40–45 dB. So the apartment is actually well insulated, but unfortunately that doesn't help much with the low-frequency bass, and you can still hear people singing and shouting outside. We always travel with earplugs just in case, but they don't block out the bass. We were lucky that the weather wasn't too warm, so we could manage the temperature using the AC in the living room. However, I'm not sure that would be sufficient in hotter weather. As another reviewer mentioned, there is only a small fan in the bedroom, which makes very little difference. We came to Lisbon for an event and to do some sightseeing, and the lack of sleep completely ruined our visit. Instead of being out and about during the day, we ended up sleeping in to make up for the sleep we'd lost at night. The apartment will work well for someone who plans to enjoy the nightlife and stay out late, but if getting a good night's sleep is important to you, I would stay elsewhere.

Great place, plenty of space & storage with full access to fridge, cooker (if you went to cook) & washing machine which was GREAT! Location was central to most attractions & all the food places I wanted to go were so near by! Staff was friendly & easy to communicate with

This is in an area that has clubs & pubs directly under the apartment so the music is loud until 3am every night ! I wear earplugs thought I’d be ok, I wasn’t ! The AC is only in the living room & a small flimsy fan in the bedroom which is not ideal at night time got so hot & couldn’t open the window due to the noise. Would be nice to have a GOOD AC rather than the flimsy fan that was given. But that’s 2 small things if I had to nip pick. Otherwise it was all great.

Nice furniture and the bed was comfortable.

The floor, the bed and the table in the living room were not well cleaned. We found hairs in the bed and on the floor. Very nice apartment but they have to clean it better.

Well furnished and excellent decor. Very spacious apartment, we appointed kitchen. Appreciate it has a washing machine and netflix.

There was a terrible smell coming from the bathroom, this is obviously and ongoing issue. The whole place smelled damp, really unpleasant. The location is right on pink street, loud music playing until 3am each night. The automatic lock was a bit of a hassle at the start but once you learn to pull door in its ok. Main issue was the smell, I couldn't recommend people stay until it's sorted, which is a shame as it's a really nice apartment.
