The accommodation is located in a great area, just a 5-minute walk from Monastiraki Square. The room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. I particularly liked the fact that the curtain was horizontal, for more privacy and convenience.
Everything was great.

The place was clean and really comfortable. Rooftop is perfect for chilling, they are doing some works for the summer, so I guess it will be even better. Staff was kind and helpful. Location is 10/10, everything is walking distance or you can just hop on the metro.
There were some noise at night especially the weekend, but for the light sleepers, they provide ear plugs. It wasn't that bad actually, I slept without them.

First up - this is a good hostel but my review is tied to what I paid (60€/night) so it might be a lot harsher than from someone who paid a lot less.
The location is insanely good - I took the train from the airport and it got my right there and I didn’t have to use any transport anywhere else because it was right in the middle of everything.
The bed was also comfy and had a light and an outlet. Everything was clean and cleaned daily and I even got new sheets halfway through my stay.
The staff is the cherry on top, really! So so friendly and helpful all of them! Big compliments there!
The hostel is trying very hard to be a stylish hotel and not as hard to be a great hostel. The bathrooms don’t have the sleep dispensers in the showers that they have in the pictures, and there are also no hand towels in any of the bathrooms on the floors with rooms.
Or aircon was broken and didn’t get repaired during my week there even though I complained twice - which was extra bad because it’s incredibly loud at night from bars below and we couldn’t sleep with open windows. The WiFi was fine as long as it wasn’t the hours were most people were home.
Our room was the most expensive (4bed/female) and I hate pink tax in general (where the female only option is more expensive) but also, the 4bed is almost twice the price of a normal bunk, which is ridiculous since the bigger dorms get more showers so it’s the same amount of bathroom per person. our lockers were outside of the room, which was ridiculously impractical and also noisy because we had to go in and out way more often. So don’t book that and it’s a way better price for what you get.
I also personally hate those blankets that just lie on top of your sheet and I also don’t appreciate not having anywhere to keep anything in your room - like at least a shelf or more than one hook.
The kitchen is NOT USABLE to actually make food and it’s ridiculous, they cite safety concerns after Covid (5 years ago?). The kitchen are is also the only indoor hangout area and it’s made as uncomfortable as possible. The rooftop hangout is nice during the evening but a comfy common area would go a long way in connecting people. It was really hard to meet people and there were no offers for activities or hang outs where people could meet.
So all in all, it’s a pretty good hostel if you like location, don’t depend on cooking or meeting people and don’t pay for the 4bed. but it’s in no way a Glostel and I think they like the chic appearance more than they like having the most well thought through hostel.
