The main reason for staying at My Athens Place is the location. All the main sights, restaurants and bars are in easy walking distance. Having an apartment made our 4 night stay more comfortable and the facilities were more than adequate. My Athens Place is not so much a hotel as a number of managed apartments on the 4th floor of a building, but it did seem well organised and well run. The only time I needed to make contact with the hotel was to ask about storing baggage on the last day and was very happy to be given an extended check-out instead.
There is a rooftop nightclub located opposite which plays loud music until around 2am on a Friday and Saturday night, so for rooms facing Kolokotroni the noise can be a problem at weekends. Also, entry to the room is via a keypad and an 8 digit number (so don't let your phone run out of battery) which sometimes needed a couple of attempts to get in. A key card would have been better.
