Cozy ,artistic cottage in a garden setting close to the beach and hiking trails.

Nice setting - small cottage adjacent to the owner's garden. The owner was pleasant, has filled the cottage with her artwork. Things are basic - no frills but overall comfortable for the two-day stay.

Bedding is worn but clean, no sign of bed bugs. Mattresses are old and somewhat stained - time to replace! The upper loft area is pretty low and tight space, has a steep wooden ladder. Need night lights, as had to leave lights on in the bathroom to safely get down from loft and through the main floor. Bathroom shower enclosure leaks a LOT, wet floor was a concern. Big issue not indicated about the rental is that you can't drive to the cottage entrance. The gravel road is really steep with poorly compacted gravel. Owner told us that shouldn't attempt unless we had a four-wheel drive vehicle - they've had people get stuck and slide into the adjacent vegetation. There was barely adequate space on the main road to park my van, in a vulnerable location for adjacent traffic. If you can't carry your luggage a long way (estimated 300 feet) on a steep, loose gravel surface and a couple short, narrow stairs, this won't work for you.

Loved the style, the privacy, the quiet countryside location, beds very comfortable

The steep driveway not only for driving in and out, but walking up and down- the gate was not easy to manoeuvre due to the slope…. And the fact we were requested to take our shoes off inside, despite it being floorboards

De tweede slaapruimte is boven, een open ruimte die dmv een steile trap is te bereiken, minder handig voor ouderen.

Beautiful cottage, high ceiling, sparkling, clean.

We were not told ahead of time that we had to park on the road and walk down a steep gravel hill to get to the cabin. We also were to wear that second bedroom was in a loft of a ladder, which would have been difficult to have one of us not been able to climb the ladder.
