Almost perfect

The location was perfect! The apartment was very clean. The beds were comfortable.

One of the keys was very fussy to operate. We had to buy all toilet paper after the first roll for each bathroom. Had to buy all paper towels and tissue paper. Only one trash bag was supplied and the directions for composting were confusing.

The view & location are unbelievable. But you'll compromise on other things.

The view of Lake Geneva and the mountains is what you pay for - it is beyond beautiful and right outside your door. The picture window in the living room showcases it perfectly. The location is 100% walkable to everything in Vevey, including the bus stops and train station, restaurants, shopping. The apartment is quite spacious. The beds are comfortable.

Overall, this apartment needs updating. In the pictures it appears to have old-world elegance. In person, it just feels outdated. It also needs maintenance - one of the two dining terraces was unavailable to us because the door handle was broken off and the door wouldn't open. It is clear this is an apartment that is used by the owners and their personal items are in abundance throughout the apartment. It felt intrusive. The Nespresso coffee maker didn't work but the representative brought a new one to us the first morning. No instructions on how to use the microwave in the apartment or in the guest guide online - perhaps it was broken. Don't know because we couldn't get it to turn on. (That said, we would have called the rep. once again to ask for instructions if we absolutely needed it.) Rep did not speak English, only French, but we made it work with Google Translate. Apartment is VERY hot in July. Even when breezy outside, the air did not flow into the apartment. There were 3 big floor fans we used in the bedrooms - the only way to sleep, even after opening all of the windows in the apartment for air. Unfortunately, that also let bugs in, albeit few overall. The apartment is right next to a resort hotel's outdoor restaurant, pool, bar. The staff clinking dishware after 11 kept us awake - again, because we needed to keep the windows open for air. No dishwasher or clothes washer soap - not inclined to buy these when we are staying only a few days. The only working light in the main bathroom was a bare ceiling bulb.

The stay was amazing.

The views from the apartment are beautiful. The apartment is clean and tidy and gives a feeling of a home. The kitchen is well equipped and the two parking slots made it easier for us.

The fact that they do not provide any laundry detergent and expect the guests who come for 4 nights to buy their own detergent.
