Lovely and Modern Groundfloor 1 Single Bedroom Condo with Netflix, Tea/Coffee/Biscuits

Nothing to like

Where to begin … I understood the room would be small, but this was an understatement. The bed was not a proper size single was always folded in half. The fridge in the room made constant noise as well as the flat upstairs. Unfortunately, the place did not smell clean and it actually smelled like a takeaway.

I felt extremely unsafe. It's a bit far from the centre and the area is kinda sus. I think someone entered the room while I was not there , because, after going grocery shopping, I found a bottle of water in the fridge that wasn't there before. The host said it was probably from another guest; so either they didn't clean or someone actually entered. The floor was sticky and it generally wasn't very clean. It's smaller than it looks in photo , I had to open the suitcase on the bed. Wi-fi stopped working after 2 hours I was there.

The room is in a vibrant but peaceful area on a main bus route. Buses are very regular during the day, and overnight there are buses approximately every 30 minutes to an hour, depending on where you're leaving from. The instructions to find and enter the room were easy to follow. I arrived on one of the hottest days of the year so far, and so I was very grateful for the complementary bottles of water in the fridge and the fan. The room is tiny - approximately 6 feet by 4 feet in the main bedroom area, and about the same again for the bathroom and hall/kitchenette combined - but it has everything you could need for a short stay. So long as you organise yourself and clean/tidy as you go, you quickly get used to being in the space available. The room was very clean, and tastefully furnished in shades of black and gold throughout. The fridge and mini-kitchenette were really useful for my 3-night stay. I think that it would be a struggle to stay in such a small space for more than 3 or 4 nights - but for a short stay, the room met my needs perfectly, and at a great price for Bristol. I would absolutely stay here again, it's a gem of a place!

The windows couldn't be locked ajar, and the toilet seat was wobbly. Also, there was only enough soap for the first night of my stay, so I had to go out and buy more. The WiFi was intermittent, but in my experience that's a Bristol thing. None of these things were big deals though - more niggles than anything else. None of these things would put me off staying again, that's for sure.

The bed is fairly comfortable. Good for very short stays. Bathroom is okay, good pressure in the shower. Instant coffee and teabags available.

I cannot overstate how small this accommodation is! The single bed touches 3 walls, with about 1.5 feet of space the other end. No place to store a large case, my small case barely fit in the cupboard. "Well equipped kitchenette" is a microwave with the choice to either plug in a kettle or a toaster. WiFi didn't work - others have mentioned that netflix worked fine but it took about 2 hours to get through a 40 minute episode with all the buffering. Also, description says 10 minute bus to city centre, it's more like 25 minutes.

Ideal lil nook for my one night stay in Bristol. People complaining it’s small 🙄 it cost £40, and you get a private room with facilities. It’s only a few quid more expensive than a bunk bed in a shared dorm in a hostel! I had no complaints at all, it’s clean, comfortable, the shower is amazing. I wear ear plugs to sleep so if there was noise, I didn’t know about it. Thanks to the owner for abundantly clear step by step instructions on getting into the property. I’ll be booking again the next time I need a night in Bristol for uni!

Not much to be fair. The light on the TV is a bit bright but it didn’t disturb my sleep. That’s genuinely the only thing I’d improve 😂

Perfect , real value for money : compact but absolutely everything needed for a single person, even a fridge ! clean , comfortable , quiet and the added bonus of a FREE , private , off street parking space , what’s not to like , would definitely stay again

The room was on the small side and the Wi-Fi was intermittent. Whilst I was there, only Netflix worked, Amazon Prime and Freeview Play did not.

Didn’t have a breakfast. The room was ideal for my purposes, it was clean and well presented. Good value for money and ideally situated.

The bed mattress was very soft and caused me severe backache. I couldn’t get connected to the internet and would have liked more than one pillow. Outside, the very vociferous female who lives somewhere above leaves much to be desired ( especially the choice of language).

…my car was opened during the night, my jacket was stolen. They turned off the heating twice, then I never turned it on again out of politeness. It wasn't particularly cold tonight though if i want to keep 25 degrees in the room i have to be allowed to.

+ bed was very comfortable + bathroom was nice and clean (as was the whole condo) + clear instructions were given without asking about where to find the house, how to access the room and where to park + in theory, I believe there is a good connection into the city centre with public transport, but we didn't use it

The wooden front gate was somehow stuck or is just heavy to open, I am not sure. But we thought it was locked, so we had to bother the neighbours of the room to open for us at night. That was uncomfortable for all of us. So, just push it hard. - The room/condo is reaaaaallllllyyyy small. We were two people and there was no real space to put our suitcases, or to walk. With that being said, it does work for a couple, but I would not necessarily recommend it. - There was a set of cutlery and plates, a toaster, a water kettle and a small fridge, but no other kitchen facilities and only the bathroom sink to clean them. That was a bit weird, but kitchen roll was provided. Overall, if you don't need much space and you travel alone, this should be a good accommodation.
