I had a wonderful stay at Loy Chalet, it is tucked away from a main road which eliminated any noise from traffic and street noise. The room was large and spacious with nearly everything one would require for their stay - anything you need can be requested from the hotel staff. The property is safe.
The staff are polite and honest which is refreshing to experience in the customer service/hospitality industry. The guy with the braces truly enjoys his job and it shows in his behaviour and customer attitude. He is always very polite and helpful. Both front of house staff were polite overall.
The breakfast was good for the most part expecially the banana pancakes, fruit and honey or chocolate sauce - just so tasty.
The restaurant staff (one of the hostess in particular could do with improving her demeanor a little), it is not unfriendly but it is not super friendly either. She also spoke about my tip to another colleague on my last day which I didn't like.
Khlong Muang beach, 7/11 and several restaurants are nearby the property but you will need a taxi to travel into AO nang.
I'd recommend the massage services, the lady was fantasic and utilised the bedding in order to arrange the massage.
I would definitely come back.
Points to improve - include a luggage rack in the room for easy access to luggage rather than having to utilise the space on the sofa and/or bed.
Breakfast - quality and quantity of bacon needs to be improved. The smoky bacon is the smallest piece of bacon I have encountered and is mostly fat, hardly any meat. Full English was okay but no flexibility to substitute items.
Cleaning - ensure there is a standard process for cleaning of the rooms as if the manager is not there, I am not sure the process is clear for others. Also a screen door or brush sealent or strips is something which could also be looked into.
It can take a little while to get a grab/bolt from the location but the hotel offers a service but the price is usually double that of a BOLT or grab.
HOWEVER none of the above would impact me returning to the hotel as overall I had a wonderful stay.

This was a lovely stay, quiet and comfortable, friendly staff, lovely pool area in a beautiful jungle garden setting. The food in the restaurant was always tasty, we loved the option to have a two bedroom suite which worked perfectly as a family of four to have enough space for us all.
Little bit far from the beach for young kids but we managed. Tiny things that could be improved - new towels (some had holes), add seat in bedroom on dressing table.

Every villa is very private and we liked it. The breakfast is ala carte style which was nice and tasty. We had lovely stay. The pool area is also very nice.
The beach is like 10-15 min walk, its not horrible but its little far. For breakfast you can get any coffee from the bar but its not included in the breakfast offer, so you have to pay for it.

Breakfast tasty but limited choice
Bar/ restaurant staff pleasant.
Bedroom especially bathroom dirty and needed upkeep. Noisy AC, no bedside lights.
Had to request housekeeping on 2 out of our 4 night stay. Bedlinen stained and torn, not changed.
