little paradise

Plenty of choices for breakfast, dinner and evening meal with a menu provided. Accommodation was in a perfect location, 10 mins walk to beach (flat) or 5 mins in a bolt taxi (very cheap options) restaurants, cafes, pharmacist, health centre, bars all in 5 mins of property all in a lovely area away from all the busy Ao Nang. Ao Nang / piers all just 20 mins in a taxi. Rooms were very nice and staff extremely helpful with all aspects of travelling in and around Thailand, especially the islands around Krabi. Cheers to John and ken for all they helped us with. Pool just perfect, tranquil and set back in a little bit of paradise, with plenty of sunbeds. Will be returning in future.

If the hotel offered drinks when sat around the pool area that would have been great little addition. Otherwise a lovely little gem set back off the main road away from it all.

Pool/ gardens - well maintained. Breakfast tasty but limited choice Bar/ restaurant staff pleasant.

Bedroom especially bathroom dirty and needed upkeep. Noisy AC, no bedside lights. Had to request housekeeping on 2 out of our 4 night stay. Bedlinen stained and torn, not changed.

Weird and far away from everything, we shortened stay with no refund and moved

Breakfast was ok, whole place was a little weird. Apparently there’s a waterfall on site but weren’t told about this until we were leaving. It’s very far from everything and some staff were not really that friendly… restaurant menu was small and a lot of items weren’t available.. tour organising was good and rooms were nice but ditch the fake flowers and warn guests about monkeys!!

Clean Our unit was newer and had a full fridge. Pool area was pretty nice Free fresh fruit and juice from powder with breakfast

VERY strict with towels Only allowed 1 bath towel/person and 1 pool towel/person. We requested an extra blanket and was told that they usually charge for that - but they didn’t in the end. Cottages are massive but no place to hang anything other than a small closet and there were no luggage racks so suitcases had to go on coffee table or sofa - just inconvenient and with so much space, it would be easy to place some racks They want you to reuse towels but again - little hanging space - just one small rack in bathroom Shower leaked onto bathroom floor which was annoying Had to select your breakfast from a menu (allowed one choice) - all items are complicated Get charged for coffee from machine otherwise you get instant coffee 😖

A peaceful jungle hideaway with amazing staff, delicious breakfast, and a perfect location near the beach.

Loy Chalet was paradise! The villa was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen that’s perfect for longer stays. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice, and the restaurant staff were always so kind and helpful. The resort feels very private with only 17 villas – we often had the pool to ourselves. Great location near the beach and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant didn’t understand much English, and there was lots of confusion and mixing up food orders. Wasn’t the greatest Thai food or selection on the menu. Also had to get maintenance to fix the cold shower problem 3 times and we didn’t want to keep asking them.

The worst stay ever

Room was spacious

Breakfast was A La Carte and if we order anything besides black coffee it will be chargeable. I have never seen a property who is so finicky about their towels. You are not allowed to take towels outside is fine but you ask for additional towel you have to return one towel to get the new one. I mean this is totally ridiculous. The staff are like they are working since they are forced to. Most of them don't speak or even understand English. They charge a surcharge of 3% if you pay by card.

Stunning small hotel, your own little paradise away from the hustle and bustle.

Absolutely stunning hotel with friendly staff on front desk and also within the restaurant, cleaning staff and maintenance. They were always on hand to help with every need. The rooms and all areas were clean and well looked after. The rooms were cleaned each day after dealing with check in / check outs if you wanted including fresh towels (room and pool) when required. And six bottles of water were provided each time. Breakfast was excellent, you could pick one item from the selection (waffles with fruit / waffles with poached eggs and bacon / avocado toast with poached eggs / french toast / granola bowl / full breakfast / club sandwich with chips / Japanese grilled salad to name a few) all were large portions, really tasty and beautifully presented. Basic tea and coffee were free and if you wanted a more specialised coffee you could pay a small amount to have one. Fruit juice and freshly cut fruit were available to take at any time during breakfast. Drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic were great and not expensive. We were staying as a family of 3 and the room had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay and would recommend for anyone who wants their own little paradise away from the hustle and bustle. Grab taxis were always available to take you wherever you needed for a small price. To Ao nang it cost us roughly 160 baht.

At arrival we thought the location was a bit outside of everything, but when we saw how touristic and busy Ao Nang was and how close we where to the beautiful beach of Klong Muang and some restaurants/supermarkets within walking distance (Ao Nang is also just 15 min by taxi) we realized what a great location it actually was for us.

We’ve had such an amazing stay. The Deluxe Villa was lovely, has everything you need - including a bath outside which was amazing! The pool was great, breakfast was good, the staff were lovely and always very helpful. Location is good as well, loads of restaurants and beautiful beaches close by. You can also rent a bike at the accommodation. All in all, we have had a great holiday at Loy Chalet!

Comfortable and pleasant stay

Great rooms, amazing breakfast included with room, lovely big pool and nice bar snacks/drinks throughout the day . Laundry service and easy to rent out cars/bikes etc. Also had Netflix and Amazon prime available on tv in bedrooms - good location short walk from beach and nice restaurants.

The staff told everyone there would be a power cut on one of the days and to book a boat trip to avoid being without access to the pool/air con in rooms but we decided to stay anyway and there was no power cut. Also the downstairs wasn’t connected to the upstairs bedroom and bathroom inside so you had to walk outside to access different areas of the property.
