Wonderful country cottage with the best bath ever!
Beautifully renovated, spacious and comfortable. Quiet.
The access road (track) is very poor and full of deep potholes. Pity our car’s suspension!

Friendly hosts, convenient location near Hawkshead. Japanese bath was a novelty.

Ideal place if you’re looking for a little solitude.
Just wanted a cosy and relaxing place to stay for a peaceful few days whilst visiting the Lake District, Jane’s Cottage was ideal. It’s slightly out of the way, but that was the attraction. As others have mentioned, it’s advisable to have a 4x4 as you’re staying on a country farm.
It had everything we needed, so nothing really.

Nice cottage with a good location
Location was great, facilities were good and host was lovely
Road driving up to the farm was not great for small or low cars! Cutlery was a bit stained and dated and a few of the windows were broken. The property felt quite dusty as well.

Immaculate and perfect for couples
Lovely cottage tucked away directly in the middle of all the places we wanted to be, looks just like the photos and was incredibly clean. Underfloor heating in the bathroom is a great touch! Perfect for couples and a lovely view out of the living area windows.
The driveway into the cottage is really bad, we only just about did it, definitely best tackled in a bigger or higher up car. Listing says Smart TV but we could only get Freeview and a DVD player, easy fix if you bring a laptop and cable to connect to the TV. We also could not get the heating to move up or down so bring blankets if it's cold weather and you don't know how to light the fire, but there was only enough wood for two nights of a three night stay.

Very relaxing 2 night stay in a quiet environment, not to far to enjoy the surrounding attractions in Ambleside and Wind
The bath went down well to soak your muscles after exploring the area, also the under floor heating in bathroom was a treat. very spacious with the open plan. All essentials you need in the kitchen to cook meals and the bed really comfortable.
