Treeside woodhouse

The wonderful welcome from Carey and David and their willingness to provide help and advice on places to visit and how to get to them..They were very kind and accomadating.

Advice on how to find the property could be more explicit. Not everyone is fully up to speed with Google Maps!!Nor can it always be trusted. Couldn't get Booking.com request on the website to state arrival time to work. The expected time 15.00 hrs.+++++Couldn't be broken down into the 30min.slots. Very frustrating.

Very quiet a peaceful, full of character. The ideal place for a very relaxing getaway. The amenities were spot on. The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Loved the peacock and friendly chickens. Can’t wait to return

Absolutely nothing

Remote location is fabulous for a quiet getaway, with the added bonus of wildlife in the form of roaming chickens and cats. Our hosts met us on arrival and gave us a quick rundown of the local area and facilities, including nice walks straight from the property. The property itself was fantastic, a summerhouse/chalet tucked away in a shady corner of the huge garden, most welcome on an extremely hot few days. It was one of the nicest self catering places we've been to, lots of thoughtful extras; chilled wine, fruit, milk, tea and coffee. We also loved having a veranda to sit out at

Nothing to dislike

our hosts were very nice and Carey’s breakfasts were lovely. it was a very quiet location and private

the access to the cottage was not good. the gravel path was on a slope and there were no proper steps up to the cottage. I actually fell one day and getting luggage up to it was hard. the bed needs a new mattress as it sinks in the middle and is also quite a small bed for tall people. sadly the shower was so small it was very difficult to shower in without hitting your arms on the sides. it was lucky we weren’t fat people as we would not have fitted into it
