Treeside woodhouse

Remote location is fabulous for a quiet getaway, with the added bonus of wildlife in the form of roaming chickens and cats. Our hosts met us on arrival and gave us a quick rundown of the local area and facilities, including nice walks straight from the property. The property itself was fantastic, a summerhouse/chalet tucked away in a shady corner of the huge garden, most welcome on an extremely hot few days. It was one of the nicest self catering places we've been to, lots of thoughtful extras; chilled wine, fruit, milk, tea and coffee. We also loved having a veranda to sit out at

Shower could be a little better

The location was excellent.. smart and comfortable. Clean and had everything we needed. Really friendly hosts and very knowledgeable. Was made to feel very welcome.

our hosts were very nice and Carey’s breakfasts were lovely. it was a very quiet location and private

the access to the cottage was not good. the gravel path was on a slope and there were no proper steps up to the cottage. I actually fell one day and getting luggage up to it was hard. the bed needs a new mattress as it sinks in the middle and is also quite a small bed for tall people. sadly the shower was so small it was very difficult to shower in without hitting your arms on the sides. it was lucky we weren’t fat people as we would not have fitted into it
