Yewfield Self Catering Apartments

Good location and value for money, the 2 bed apartment was bigger than we expected with two double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Great for a group trip

We had a really lovely stay here great location beautiful gardens and grounds, it was very relaxing and peaceful. The staff couldn't do enough for you, very friendly & helpful. We will definitely be back to stay again. We walked into Hawkshead, and ate at the Queens Head and even returned on Sunday for a roast dinner, they also did our dog a doggy roast dinner lovely food and brilliant staff. If you drive to Ambleside you can park at the sister hotel. We also walked to Tarn Hows direct from the Hotel, well worth the walk gorgeous views.

We can not fault the hotel or staff. But there was the most ruddiest woman I have ever come across staying in the main building of the hotel, who thought it was a good idea to block a member of staff's car in whilst charging her Porsche. Who when asked by the most softly spoken member of the hotel staff, to move her car decided to refuse and start shouting at the member of staff, telling him to calm down when it was in fact her that needed to calm down. The member of staff didn't raise his voice once to her, he just politely asked her to move her car, so the member of staff could go home after a long days shift. She then said she would move her car on the condition that he refunded her the charging fee of fifty pounds and she wanted it in cash there and then. During all her shouting we heard her say comments about the staff member that he was being sexist because she was a woman, and how dare he ask her to move her car and speak her like that (like what? can you please move your car!!) she even pulled out the racist card, which by the way he was non of these slurs. She continued to shout at him all the way to her car, she then started to tell him what her worth value was!!!! we could hear her still shouting at him when we had returned to our self catering apartment and closed to door. We still cant understand why she kicked off the way she did, here's an idea don't block other cars in just so you can charge your car, by the way there was room for her to charge her car without blocking any car in. The following morning she reversed her car in front of the main building again blocking cars in when there was car parking spaces that she could of parked in. she obviously has ideas above her station and is a spoilt brat. What an absolute piece of work she was, she might as well have said DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!!!! I actually think they should ban her from ever returning with her snobby attitude

It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep, and the surrounding area was peaceful, quiet, and very picturesque. The staff very welcoming and friendly.

The property is a little tired in places and could benefit from some updating, but it was well maintained overall.

Good quiet location

Nothing exciting about these apartments. Outside was very tired and needed maintenance. Parking was tight when the hotel was full. Our hot water pump for the shower was inconsistent and temperamental.
