Excellent location and wonderful views. Beds very comfortable, all in perfect for our few days in the Lakes

Nice accomodation close to venter of town .good facility’s .lovely outdoor garden area .lovely view from front of house .

Had no idea it was over three floors and going up and down the stairs caused concern for all,plus it’s at the top of a steep hill .i felt this was hidden in pictures shown . Even the taxi driver had trouble finding the property .

Directions to get to the property could be improved by telling people to go through the gate marked for number 1. We assumed that was private & inadvertently entered another neighbour’s garden

We recently stayed in this property and was impressed by the locality and the good supply of books and dvds.

There are, however, a few areas where some improvements would make a significant difference to future guests' experience. The main concern was the cleanliness of the bedding. One of the double beds had black dog hairs on both the duvet cover and the sheet, and there was a visible footprint on the sheet. When stripping the beds at the end of our stay, we also noticed that the duvet from one of the single beds was stained. Whilst this may have been an isolated oversight, it did leave the accommodation feeling less clean than expected. Another issue was the waste disposal arrangements. We were unable to locate a wheelie bin for the property, so followed the instructions provided and used the red refuse sacks. Unfortunately, a neighbour approached us believing we had caused an issue because the bags are regularly torn open by birds. Once we showed him the property's instructions, he understood the situation and explained that the local council has previously raised concerns regarding waste collection for this property. Providing a wheelie bin would help protect the rubbish from wildlife, prevent unnecessary problems for neighbouring residents, and improve the overall waste management process. There are also a few smaller improvements that would enhance guests' comfort. During warmer weather, fans would greatly improve air circulation. Additional cupboard space for food storage would also be helpful, as the kitchen cupboards are largely occupied by cookware and kitchen equipment. After an eight-hour journey, locating the cottage was more difficult than expected, so clearer signage would make arrival much easier. The property would also benefit from some general TLC to keep it looking its best. Finally, the positioning of the mirrors in relation to the electrical sockets makes it difficult to use a hairdryer while looking in a mirror, which was inconvenient.
