Magnificent apartment - Carré d'or

Muito bom o apartamento!

Die Lage ist sehr gut, sehr zentral. Wohnung war sauber und auch gut ausgestattet.

Einziges Manko war die Schlüsselübergabe. Es gibt keine Schlüsselsafes, stattdessen müssten wir in ein weniger ansehnliches Viertel von Nizza 30 min im Regen mit Gepäck laufen, um dann wieder mit dem Schlüssel zurück dieselbe Strecke zu legen. Bei der Abgabe (war dann eine andere Stelle) musste ich nur 7 min hin und 7 min zurücklaufen, was im Grunde akzeptabel ist. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich so etwas noch nie erlebt hatte…

The location of this property was superb. It is just a few blocks from the Jean-Medicin tram stop, which takes you to and from the airport. It is also an easy 10-minute stroll through the fabulous shops of the Carre d'Or to the "Times Square" of Nice, Place Massena, with its amazing Christmas fair. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to the Promenade des Anglaise, the beach, and the Promenade du Paillon, a beautiful greenway and park. You don't need a car in Nice. It has an excellent bus, tram, and train system that you can take advantage of, with links to the other great areas of the Riviera.

The only negative was the key pickup arrangement. The instructions were received on the day before our arrival to go to a location 1.4km from the apartment to get the keys. It was a 700 meter walk to the location from the tram. Upon arrival, the address was unclear and a stranger pointed us to the convenience store where the clerk had the keys. After obtaining the keys, we realized that we had a 19-minute walk (another 1.4 km walk ) through a dark tunnel under the train tracks to reach the apartment, rolling our bags. We are over 70, so this was a huge disadvantage after a very long trip. This apartment could easily be a 10/10 if not for this arrangement. I also feel this kind of arrangement should be CLEARLY communicated to all potential guests on the Booking site beforehand.

Matériel défectueux, vaisselle ébréchée, cafetière qui fuit, volet cassé,télévision très capricieuse
