Location is very good. Walking distance to the train station and the “Old Nice” area. The apartment complex is nice and well maintained. The apartment was clean but a little small for 4 people.

Even though the apartment was nice and the host (Josephine) was quick to answer renting this unit was not a pleasant experience. From the day I made the booking I got email after email from Riviera Holiday Homes. At first it was normal emails. When will you arrive? Do you need a taxi? But then it became too much. A third party is used for security deposit and I started getting emails about INSURANCE for my security deposit!!! Then the do you need a taxi emails kept coming. Requests to open an account with Riviera so that the booking may proceed smoothly… TOO MUCH and felt like a cash grab. When we checked in there was a list of “do and don’t” or you lose your security deposit. One was do not move the furniture. That would be ok except that the sofa bed had not been made (I don’t know why not) and I needed to move the glass coffee table to open the sofa bed. Don’t leave trash in the apartment. Very reasonable but can you then provide a trash bag? How am I supposed to use the trash can in the bathroom or kitchen if you have not left any bags in them? The worst was that the sheets for the sofa bed were stained and dirty. Even though the host provided new sheets the next day, that first night my kids slept on their beach towels. Unacceptable, especially for a place that had so many strict standards for ME to get my security deposit back. Code given to us for the gates after checkout didn’t work.
