About this house rental
A gorgeous, private, modern guesthouse located in a quiet, semi-rural area of Welcome Bay, Tauranga. With separate bedroom, bathroom and lounge/dining area and kitchenette (please note there are NO cooking facilities). Features a large sunny patio with a garden outlook for relaxing with a book or enjoying a nice glass of wine outdoors.
Located at the front of the main house on a large property with an expansive garden, this is a very peaceful and private guest house.
The bathroom in the Parrot Nest will blow your mind! It is a very large bathroom where you can take your time to shower and prepare for a night out. Highlights of the bathroom include: Large tiled shower with rain shower head, double basins, bidet, interesting light features (LED light with colour change option and soft light around the mirror).
Guests have full and exclusive access to the guest house and patio in front of the house. You also have access to a small enclosed garden area.
The kitchenette is equipped with sink, toaster, jug, microwave, fridge, Nespresso machine and a small bench-top oven and grill.
On arrival there will be a few small breakfast items provided (ie. cereal, milk, juice, bread, spreads and fruit). Please note that these items are only provided at the beginning of your stay.
Located in Welcome Bay, this is a great spot to base yourself to access the many attractions Tauranga has to offer.
The house is situated in a very quiet part of Welcome Bay surrounded by other large lifestyle properties.
At the end of the street is a local reserve with a walking track to take a short-cut to the local shops.
A 15 minute walk from the house is the local shops which includes petrol station, grocery store, chemist, laundromat and a few takeaway food options.
The nearest bus stop is a ten minute walk away.
Within five minutes drive is Johnsons Reserve which is a great place to take a walk on the tracks and also a five minute drive away is Tye Park, which has a lovely big park with trees for shade beside the estuary. A ten minute drive away is Kaiate Falls which offers a short walk to an impressive Waterfall.
Tauranga CBD is 10-15mins drive away, here you might like to visit The Strand which provides many wonderful dining options and beautiful views of the Harbour.
Papamoa Beach is just a 10 minute drive away and it will take 20 minutes to drive to the iconic Mount Maunganui. The Mount offers more than just an incredible beach and surfing, head to the Mount for amazing dining at world-class restaurants and cafe's. You can't visit Tauranga without walking to the top of the Mount and enjoying one of the best views in New Zealand!

Travelling from Australia we found Parrot Nest an excellent place to relax, visit with our friend and explore the Tauranga area.The accommodation and inclusions were just as described, except the bed is extremely high for shorter or older guests. We shall stay again when we visit Tauranga again.

Private location in a quiet setting. Immaculate presentation. Excellent communication. A lot of nice little touches including home made pretzels and 'nut baby'.

The property was immaculately presented however it was little touches from the wine on the table as we entered to the selection of breakfast options to the pretty cool bathroom that made the place pretty special, and did I mention the cats. For cat lovers they were awesome too especially Sugar. In my opinion great value for money. Can’t wait to stay again. Thank you Betty and Christian

Was perfect for me. Clean tidy and in a quite area. Super comfortable felt really at home. Way better than a hotel. Would definitely recommend and love to stay again!!
