Tranquil jungle villa away from the hustle of centre-Ubud

The villa looks as it does in the photos: modern, new and clean. There are two buildings. The first houses three bedrooms which are all practically identical save that one has an outdoor shower in addition to the indoor one. The second building houses the kitchen, dining and living room, all of which are surrounded by seven sliding doors which open up to allow a decent breeze through the space. It was nice to sit in that building and read. The pool and its surroundings were very nice and clean. The view is of the jungle which has rice fields behind it. It is a tranquil and quiet villa located about a 10 minute motorbike ride to the centre of Ubud. There is a Coco's supermarket a few minutes drive from the property - it would take about 15 minutes to walk there. We rented a motorbike during our stay and found the location to be perfect for us. If you are looking for a place within walking distance to restaurants and nightlife then this is not for you. If you want peace and quiet away from the hustle of downtown Ubud then this is decent. The driveway is paved and has one tight right-angle corner which would be difficult (although perhaps not impossible) for a larger car to navigate. A Toyota Avanza had no issues getting down there. It is not a dirt road as the property description appeared to say. There are the usual geckos and dragonflies that are found throughout Ubud, but nothing to be concerned about. We were well looked-after by our butler, Sudiasa, who was on-hand to deal with our every need throughout our stay. Overall we loved our time here and would have been glad to have stayed longer.

There was nowhere to hang towels in the bathrooms. While there were benches in the bedrooms, there were no clothes racks from where to hang clothes. The beds were two singles joined together rather than one Queen or King size - that was surprising for the price and quality of the villa - although they were at least comfortable when not lying on the juncture between the two mattresses in the middle. The villa is not totally private in that there is a two-storey local's house across the road from the entry to the villa which has a direct line of sight into the main courtyard of the villa. While we did not feel like we were being watched at any time, it would have been nice to have some plants blocking that line of sight. There are also locals who walk on a garden path in the jungle in front of the pool from time to time - it's their community so no massive issue, but it's something to be aware of. I would have rated the property a 10 if it were not for these issues.

Понравилось абсолютно всё, спасибо за хорошее впечатление и теплую встречу Sudaisa и его команде. Вилла классная, расположение хорошее, тихо, чисто, бассейн классный, вода теплая, приятная, можно плавать в любое время суток. Очень тихо вокруг, вилла приватная.
