Uma Jala Villa Ubud by The Travel Ubud Bali

Nice spot away from the crowd. If you need an isolated space to rest your mind, that's the place. The villa was so clean. The staff was so friendly.

Taxis can only drive to a meeting point which is about 450m from the villas. They take you to your villa on a buggy which had enough space for our two big luggages (going to villas on a buggy was enjoyable to us). The only downside is... The streets leading to that meeting point are extremely narrow and can be difficult and slightly dangerous for drivers, as only one car can fit through at a time. During one of our trips, our taxi driver's left rear wheel slipped off the edge of the road, causing the car to tilt. We ended up walking the rest of the way(50-100m) to the meeting point. I wrote this, so future visitors make sure to alert their drivers about the deep ditches on the side of the road(when you get close to the meeting point) so the same accident does not happen to anybody else. It happened to us while driver was taking the last turn to go to the meeting point when it was dark. The villas are still worthy of a try.

We loved the property, the private pool and the view of the rice fields. The place was cleaned and cleaned daily. The staff were also superb at helping us find transport and activities to go on, even bringing beauty therapists to the villa for us to have a massage, and making the most delicious floating breakfast. The villa is also next to a nice restaurant with a big pool if you wanted somewhere quick and nice to eat, or relax at.

If I had to point out one thing I would say the location wasn’t what I expected, however I think you’d find that for most villas around the Ubud area. As Ubud is such a vast area with many different things to see all scattered about, you need to rely on taxis and mopeds to get around which can make a long day tiring due to the amount of traffic in Ubud.
