Cleaning service was excellent and near to Ubud palace and downtime. Also bike rental was easy and deliver it to room and pick up from villa as well. Restaurant was excellent and located near to Uma Jala villa. Restaurant name is Good day.

We had an outstanding stay with Uma Jala Villas, and have left with a little sadness but feeling fully restored.

It was away from the bustle of Ubud but close enough to get taxis etc. It was private, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a lovely touch of partly being exposed to the weather. The private was wonderful - we could use it at any time of the day or night without being afraid of disturbing people. The terrace had protection from the sun if needed.

There was nothing to not like. We did think we could have been provided with more than 3 sachets of coffee and powdered milk per day, and a sun bed would have been very nice.

Beautiful infinity pool overlooking the rice fields, with outdoor kitchen, tropical garden, comfortable bed and a bathtub. Owner and staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and helped organising drivers/tours. Restaurant available next door along with relaxing massage services.

Good value for money

Convenient location away from the hustle and bustle. Better to have a scooter. Quiet place. Super private. Nice pool. We stayed here 2 nights and then later the week came back for another 2 nights.

The shower went cold a few times during each shower. The first time we went the duvet set smelled like damp. The second time we went here there was hair in the pool.

Great stay, just as expected

Great Villa, very clean and just as the pictures showed. Our hosts were very responsive and very accommodating when we needed the buggy to take us to the drop sport etc.

The Mosquito's were an issue, bring you own coils as the host does not provide. The hot water system was also an issue and only stayed warm for a minute. We were told to use the bath when we raised the issue but it wasn't much better.

Property looks beautiful. I took so many videos of the place and was in love with it.

So we booked this hotel primarily for the private pool Even though the pool is private specifically only for your use, it’s not private in “experience”. During our stay we experienced not so private interactions. There’s a rice field directly under and in front of your pool and the rice field workers will work on the fields during the day and will very easily see you (you could have a conversation with them, is how close they are). The annoying part was we had an instance where someone flew a drone above our pool (which may not be the fault of the hotel but is something to keep in mind) Privacy aside, the food at the Good Morning Cafe, absolutely terrible. Please keep in mind when booking this place to keep a mosquito repelant with you at all times. The bathroom has an open roof that allows for mosquitos and other insects to get in which is just super impractical. The door of the bathroom doesn’t lock so it gives u a false sense of security. The doors are open from the bottom which gives bugs and geckos to get in. (But geckos are good for mosquitos lol so they’re fine) Personally, if you are going to Indonesia for leisure, I would genuinely recommend you to skip on Bali & Ubud. You will see rice fields else where. Now to get in and out of your hotel at any point in the day you need to contact reception and let them know before you want to head out so they can take you in a go cart outside of the hotel area. For us it wasn’t too practical but it’s something to keep in mind.

Breakfast was just mediocre. Things were a bit slow sometimes - we’d ask for breakfast at 8 and it would show up at 820. We’d sometimes have to wait 10-15 minutes for the shuttle even though we’d give a heads up on when we’d want to leave

It was quite a surprise when we arrived. Absolutely loved the layout of the villa. Loved how the kitchen and lounge area was in the open. Bedroom was lovely and bed very comfortable. And what a great idea for the bathroom to have a open roof over the shower area. And that shower 😆😆😆😆that has to off been the best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel. The pool area was lovely looking over the rice fields but sadly water was too cold to get in.

Loved every minute of staying in a beautiful villa in the rural parts of Bali

The property is beautiful in a very peaceful and local setting. The Villa is very quaint and comfortable set among the rice fields in rural Bali. The small details like the shower, fish pond and small fountain in the pool made for a very idillic stay. Kadek is an amazing host and helped us with every need. He organised all of our activities and taxis for the five days depending on what we wanted to see and do. The floating breakfast and massages in the room were more features that added to our lovely stay.

The ultimate place to stay in Ubud.

The Villa overlooks a rice field and is safe, quiet and peaceful - away from the hustle and bustle. The staff are so lovely and helpful. It’s a 4 km walk to Ubud central for the markets and food, and the restaurants located near the villa are excellent !!
