Pack a spare lighter!

The location was perfect, spoilt for choice with footpaths you can reach on foot with views of Belper. The cottage was warm and cosy.

The cottage needs some TLC as the shower doors are broken and mould is growing up the walls. Some fixtures and fittings are loose and the toilet roll had seen better days (previously wet, I think). Needed a lighter to use the gas hob, you'd be stuck if the lighter ran out of fluid.

Lovely cottage in a great location with nice views. Quiet setting just ouside the town with good walks nearby. Very comfortable and clean, Well-equipped kitchen. Free parking. Nice views of the sunset. Good value for money.

Higher headroom over steps (sloping soffit) to avoid banging your head.

Only 2 seats outside Shower not powerful enough and temperature intermittent Beds could be comfier with thicker mattress topper More available glassware and bigger pans Extra batteries, bin bags, hoover and cleaning products would be good Bathroom dated: shower cubicle doors/trims coming off, sink blocks when running water, toilet roll holder falling off the wall, flush button missing from toilet

Not cleaned Most of it was clean and lovely clean bedding and towels Microwave had curry blobs in, the coffee table had wrappers and sweets underneath The shower door was loose and there was quite bad damp in the shower room

Good for a short stay

Nice little cottage with everything needed for a short stay. There were a few tired things in the property but the beds were super comfy and the location great

Overall fab place to stay, love that it had 2 double beds!

Pictures make it look like a stand alone cottage which it isn't but still peaceful. Lovely views and good facilities.

Needs some outdoor lights so you can see in the evenings and also see the keysafe if you arrive late

A couple of silly little things that would have been easily corrected. No teatowels, only a couple of glasses and a couple of teaspoons. Not the end of the world, but easily avoided.

Lovely position, very peaceful. Cottage very clean and roomy. The beds were very comfortable.

There was only 2 outdoor seats for a 4 person cottage. Only 3 seats in the living room and limited cutlery and crockery. Bathroom a little dated compared to the rest of the cottage.

A very relaxing family break in a lovely cottage.

The cottage was very clean and cosy. It had all the facilities we needed. The views from the cottage are lovely. The location is great for walks and not too far, in the car, from attractions. The parking space next to the cottage allowed us to easily move luggage into the cottage. We all enjoyed the stay!

Very spacious cottage over looking the countryside. Ideal location to Belper and surrounding areas, but would say a car is needed to pop to a shop! (Plenty in Belper.) We had a lovely weekend and will definitely recommend this place to stay, and will be staying here again. Host was contactable when we got lost.

Perfect place to meet up with my old friend.Very quite and cosy cottage

Perfect location with good walking from door and nice pub a short walk on footpath….torch essential.spotless throughout and soon warmed up after phoning host for thermostat instructions!

Would have been nice to have a welcome pack with local information!
