Fabulous location to walk down into town. Great to have a second toilet for the second bedroom

The beds in the main room very uncomfortable and the place could do with some tlc, to improve its overall look, a tidy up of the outdoor area to allow to sit outside.

Nice & Spacious, perfect for what we needed. Towels provided Beds comfy and good quality bed linen Had everything you needed in kitchen and cleaning wise Good spot 5 min walk into Buxton & we drove to Matlock, Bakewell, Edale & Castleton to explore (20-60 min drives)

Only issue is the carpet coming away on 1 step of the stairs up to the top bedroom, which may be quite dangerous if slipped on

Good location. Kettle and toaster appeared brand new. Bath is a good size for a soak after walking in the hills. Blankets provided is a nice touch. Great fast WiFi. Dishwasher saves having to spend time washing up. Well stocked crockery and mugs/glasses. Hand soap, shower gel and bubble bath included in the main bathroom. Dishwasher tablets, fairy and scouring pad in the kitchen. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board available.

Kitchen was not really functional for cooking a meal and there was no dining area. No storage for ingredients other than the fridge. Knife block, grater, peeler and can opener were in a bedroom cupboard and the knife block was quite dirty (greasy). Sofa wasn’t comfortable, no support and very low. Cables from the tv are just hanging , not great to look at but also not good for small children in the property. Main bathroom was ok but there is no where to put things such as toothbrushes and toothpaste other than the windowsill. Loo roll is listed as provided but there was only 1 in the main bathroom and none in the toilet upstairs. First floor bedroom was advertised as a double but set up as two singles. Brackets to make them into a double are broken. After stripping the bed prior to leaving also noted one of the mattresses is torn. Not the most comfortable and may need replacing. Lack of sockets other than an extension cable at the back of the bed. Second floor stairs light is motion sensitive which we could not turn off and is quite disorienting when going to the bathroom at night stepping across the narrow top of the stairs and then having your night vision messed with. Second floor toilet was extremely loud when flushed. All the windows have privacy screening stuck to them so there is no way of knowing what the weather is doing or even just seeing the outside world without opening a door. That coupled with the white paint throughout did make it feel a little too sterile and claustrophobic. Plastic plants throughout the property were very dusty and the bathroom door very marked it really could do with a deep clean throughout.
