Lots of great and some things to improve.

Nice house. Modern feel. Well kitted out.

Bathrooms hadn't been cleaned very well. Toilets had previous guests visits evident. Very creaky floorboards upstairs so quite noisy wherever someone was on the move. Bedroom lights didn't work. Had to steal a lamp from the other room.

Nice and comfortable and clean. Ideal location for us

Location was ideal for us just off the high street and a 10 minute walk to the rugby club on the evening where we were attending a family event. Beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed for the one night.

A little ‘shabby’ in places could do with a bit of colour and some TLC. But very comfortable. Only 2 forks in the kitchen though but plenty of other cutlery.

We liked the location and the living room was comfortable for three.

We liked the living room and the bathroom. We also liked the location.

We did not like the fire escape. We found it to get the house to a comfortable temperature - too hot. We were disappointed about the facilities in the kitchen - no welcome (not even milk), cutlery a bit of a mismatch with only two forks and no microwave dishes.

When we arrived the house smelt unclean and we started to notice that the cleaner had not been at all from previous tenants. Dirty bed clothing and towels left in all rooms. Bathrooms, toilet left dirty again from previous people. Fridge was dirty the kitchen smelt of egg and was overall disappointing. The owner did message and apologise to my husband saying the cleaner would be there soon. We felt we had to leave the property to allow her to clean so it wasn’t awkward for anyone. Cleaner could not have been there long wasn’t there when we left and as we return hour later cleaner was leaving. The home did smell a little better but the cleaner had not hoovered or cleaned any of the toilets or moved towels in downstairs toilet (we know as it’s how it presented before). We had to go and buy toilet roll as there was none left for us, hygiene was just not good enough. Owner has said he will reimburse the cleaning money to myself (which I’m now waiting for) which is polite of him to do that. Overall this cottage was disappointing the attention to detail is very poor such as the paint work, sockets and bedding which is creased, bottom sheet don’t fit mattress well. No presentation in how the bed was made the mirror in main bedroom is smashed and unclean. It is such as shame as this could be a hidden gem as the potential is there just needs some TLC and a lovely touch for guests to have a warm welcome.

Good priced house in quiet but central location

Quiet street, good sized house, comfortable furnishings, very reasonably priced and close to amenities. Owners were very reasonable with me when I requested a later check out time due to my wedding later that day.

Only downsides were no tea/coffee (not a major issue, but always nice to have) and probably worth pointing out that the rainwater shower head felt quite loose and weak, works absolutely fine but probably worth looking at moving forwards as did not feel very secure...

I've stayed at another of the properties and the decor was beautiful. This one is very basic. Cleanliness needs attention. Carpets as you enter and kitchen crockery, utensils.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay in Guisborough and we were very comfortable in the Cosy Cottage.

The location was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and lounge good. We found a very interesting channel on the TV-PBS. We liked Guisborough very much. There was a handy car park in easy walking distance.

The property could benefit from hooks or a place to hang clothes.

Was everything we needed for a one night stay. Close enough to walk into centre. Comfortable and clean.

Floorboards were very creaky but didn't affect our stay as we were only there one night. The car park was only £2.50 for all day however as we couldn't pay for 24 hrs from arrival like some, we had to set alarm to go and top up the car park ticket early the next morning.

Amazing, comfy and would stay again

It was quite modern and well furnished. Small but modestly made up kitchen The bedrooms were clean and spacious. Odd layout of the house but really liked how close it was to everything.

My only complaint would be the sofa and chair weren’t super comfy but were great for purpose

The cottage is right in the centre of Guisborough, literally 2 minutes walk from its lovely high street with its bars, restaurants cafes and shops. The house is spotless with very comfortable beds. It has a modern bathroom with shower over the bathtub. Plenty of hot water . Everything you need for your stay. It’s in a perfect spot for visiting all the surrounding area too . There is ample parking close by for £2 a day ( in the local nursing home car park) .

A hidden gem of a Cottage. Near the High St. Restaurants and Pubs close by. Ideal for traveling the surrounding areas. Whitby, Staithes. Plus a Spoons in Town. A good weekend had by all. We'll be back!

A great location near everything but quiet too. Facilities were excellent and beds very comfy. A very spacious house which was perfect for our visit. Great communication and information from the hosts.
