Amazing stay in the Flamingo

We had an amazing stay in the Flamingo. The location is a 10, seapoint really is the perfect spot in cape town. The sea and the boulevard so close and in the middle of all the sightseeing spot. Melvyn the host was so helpful he arranged us an parking spot super close to the appartement. He got us a bottle of wine and give us some recommendations to eat. Before we arrived he made sure everything was settled. The appartment was comfortable and in the evening we could relaxed there. The kitchen was full of stuff we used as well. The building before is finished so we had no problems with noise. In 2 weeks we will be back in cape town and I will try to book with melvyn again.

A noisy and unpleasant stay that I will avoid until the construction is completed.

We have stayed at the venue before and thought that we knew what to expect. Although small, which I knew, the facilities are good. The hosts cannot be faulted for what is not under their control.

I would have liked to know that there was construction going on 5 meters from the apartment. This went on until after 6pm on a Saturday. The construction was loud and dirty, and we had to find an alternative venue for a Zoom meeting. We could not use the balcony at all. It is also difficult to offload and load luggage due to there being virtually no parking and only one loading zone parking bay (This was used by the coffee shop on a number of occasions with the effect that it is basically unavailable). The building should invest in a luggage trolley. I had to go up to the 7th floor 8 times to offload our luggage as my partner had to stay at the car, and there was no offer of assistance from anyone. There is also informal trading right in front of the building and we just did not feel safe, especially with laptops. The area is really dirty. It is sad and I do feel sorry for the hosts as they cannot control this, but the City should and should rather police the informal trading than to issue parking tickets.

Apartment nice but next door building construction.

Location nice. Variety of food options nearby. Bedroom cozy. Living/kitchen room functional. Television channel available netflix. Walk to beach nearby and feel safe. Melvyn very hospitable with a welcome bottle of wine.

The bathroom configuration caused me to bump things when going to toilet and shower. Our one week stay had continuous building construction and noise during working hours. The construction worker locked eyes with me who was 2 meter from the window. Patio view of the construction building 2 meter away.

the information regarding this apartment needs to be upgraded as what is advertised is not correct

we not informed at the time of booking that MAJOR CONSTUCTION was ongoing right up to the windows of the apartment a major new hotel was being built men working from 08 00am until as late as 19 00pm dust and noise all day could not use the balcony the bedroom was flooded on our first night due to burst aircon system we had to get towels to clean up the water mess nobody turned up at reception on arrival to let us in no key or code reception could not contact the owner we had to wait for a cleaner to let us in all of this was promised on booking as was late in the afternoon on arrival we decided to stay the night as accommodation was scarce in the area in the next morning we decided to move out due to the problems as we are older people 82-74 there was no way we could stay there we are have raised a complaint with BOOKING .COM IT IS NOW 4 WEEKS and one seems to want to know the apartment is still advertised on BOOKING . COM SITE BUT NO MENTION OF THE PROBLEMS i think this is a breach of the trade description law we intend to follow this up until someone sorts this out

Absolutely perfect apartment with beautiful view

Our stay was incredible. Melvyn was the perfect host to meet and help with the luggage. The apartment absolutely exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the most amazing views, location and restaurants all around. The attention to detail, decor, kitchen utensils with quality bed linen was just perfect. Enjoyed the Seattle coffee shop next door. Not to mention a bottle of free estate wine. Great value for a Saturday!

It was a very short stay but it is a beautiful apartment.

Very neat, interior beautiful, and very stylish. Enjoyed Netflix and appreciated the bottle of wine, that was very welcome! Kitchen very well stocked, did not want for anything !

We struggled with the QR Code to gain entrance and the person on duty opened the door for us but did not know about the booking. I tried to download the QR code again but the link did not work anymore. We then entered the url on another phone and receiced the QR. It was a bit noisy, down in the street when we tried to sleep, as if the window in the bedroom was open. I had a problem with the aircon, tried to heat up the room a bit as it was very cold, Did not realize it but when I went to bed the floor was covered with water, had nothing with me so I had to use the towels for the beach to dry the floor. Sorry about that. The water ran underneath the bed. Parking was a bit of a problem.

Melvyn and Liesl were so accomodating. We had to check in 2 hours early and they were so welcoming. Melvyn is just a hop skip and a jumo away and is available for sugar, photocopying milk etc... Highly recommended. Easy access to anemities. Great value for money

Great experience

My wife and I never do 1 night stays alone. We were a bit anxious however, this place was peaceful. Private and perfect for a chilled couple. Access to an amazing view of the sea, the city life and the mountain. You've got no worries about being lights out during loadshedding and there's aircon for the hot days. We arrived to a clean space, clean bedding, towels, hand cloths and most importantly, a bottle of wine, balloons and chocolates. It's been a great pleasure and wouldn't mind going again! Thanks Melvyn for being an amazing host.

I loved how Melvyn went through the effort of leaving absolutely everything from spices, spreads, milk, dishwashing liquid, cutlery, crockery, even a nice bottle of wine and wine glasses on arrival in this apartment, everything we needed was there. I would highly recommend this little jewel for a short stay!!!

Хорошее расположение: рядом выход к набережной, достаточно кафе, ресторанов и продуктовых магазинов. Есть бесплатная парковка на соседних улицах (на Regent Rd платная и ограниченная по времени стоянка 8:00-17:00). Приветливый и доброжелательный собственник. Никаких проблем при заселении не было. Комплиментарная бутылка вина - приятный сюрприз. Но есть ощущение, что она предоставлена в качестве извинения за указанные ниже минусы. Есть фен, утюг и кухонные приборы. Всё работает. Также предоставлены интересные путеводители.

Довольно маленькие апартаменты: например, в ванной буквально не развернуться и нормально не умыться. Огромная беда с окнами: с одной стороны непонятное полупрозрачное окно в ванной, перед которым ты вынужден то и дело проходить вплотную, так как там маленькое пространство (это маленькое окно выходит на общий балкон-коридор), а с другой стороны помещения невероятная стройка (в двух метрах построили дом и проводят отделочные работы: с восьми утра работники уже начинают действовать, поэтому окна нет смысла открывать, а выход на балкон так вообще не прикрыт, поэтому вам просто не скрыться от взора извне (после окончания стройки проблема не уйдет, так как балкон просто упирается в стену нового здания). То есть вид в этих апартаментах по сути на стену. Очень грязно: слив в душе забит и вода плохо уходит, полы откровенно не мытые и просто прикрытые коврами, а окна из-за стройки в печальном состоянии.
