Super break

A very well furnished and clean apartment with everything you need for a few days stay. We stayed for two nights with our 4 month old daughter. The lovely sweeping beach is a 10/15 minute walk away (down a steep path). The location is a great base for visiting Filey, Bridlington, Flamborough etc. The Bay complex is very clean and has an on-site shop and pub plus leisure activities There are a good number of country pubs just a short drive away and a mini zoo near Filey which is great for little ones. Thanks for the wine gift on arrival! We will certainly look to stay again, highly recommended.

Tip: Very very expensive drink prices in the onsite pub which is likely why it was empty! No issues with the accommodation.

Fantastic location and excellent value for money.

Lovely sized accommodation on a lovely, really clean site with enough amenities to hand. Property had plenty of gadgets to feel like home from home, luckily with manuals on how to operate. Owner quickly responded to problem and sufficiently rectified.

Maybe not a fault of owners, but an error on booking.com’s interpretation of guests, we arrived late in evening and the other bed wasn’t ready. Owners took 2 guest as couple sharing a bed rather than 2 needing separate beds as 1 adult female and one 12 yr old boy. New fangled equipment meant it took some reading of everything to figure out how to use the equipment.

Sunrise Cove at The Bay

Lovely comfortable ,clean apartment, the welcome gifts of Chocolates & wine were much appreciated. Good facilities in the kitchen, Air fryer, washing machine & dishwasher etc. There was Plenty of bedding & towels. The cleaning cupboard had everything you needed plus, ironing stuff & nice touch was a couple of folding garden chairs we could use when going to the beach. The TV setup was great and kids made good use of the Netflix. Didnt meet or speak to the owners, but had good communication via messages before arriving, with great & relevant info. The Bay resort is a really nice, well looked resort, shop & John Paul Jones pub are decent & only 5/10 min walk to the beach. Would recommend & we definitely stop here again.

No real issues, only very minor thing was that sometimes the shower took a while for the water to drain off. Otherwise no problems

Great little find

Perfect beach location, dog-friendly, slight noise from above.

Really nice, dog-friendly flat in a great spot, just a few minutes from the beach and pub.

Overall, we had a lovely stay, but one thing to mention is that the soundproofing could have been better. We could hear quite a bit of movement from the upstairs flat, and at times, particularly at night, it disturbed our sleep when the neighbour was walking around. It didn’t take away from the enjoyment of our trip, but it’s something to be aware of.

Great little property in a fabulous location which has everything you need for a few days away. Second visit for us and the property has been further improved since our last visit with a redecoration and some new amenities. We love the proximity to the beach and the development itself.

Perfect stay by the sea with our pooch.

The location was perfect- 10 mins walk to the sea. We walked an hour to Filey and got a giant breakfast. We ate at the pub on site which was dog friendly. A lovely touch was the treats waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment was spotless!

I loved how near the property was to everything, the pub and facilities etc. It was super nautical in decor and felt cosy and comfortable. My mum thought the sofa bed was lovely and comfy too! All in all a great time was had for my 40th 😁😁 oh and san marcos Italian in filey is lovely for a meal the food is great!

One of the best accommodations I have ever stayed to.

Although located @50 mins away from Filey, there is a bus taking you to 'The bay' station, which is the closest to the accommodation and only 2 mins away. The holiday resort is impeccable, clean, modern, absolutely beautiful .... The flat itself was amazing, so clean, so nicely decorated and organized, just really really beautiful and spotless... We were 4 and 2 of us slept in the bedroom, the other 2 on the sofa bed in the lounge 😊 spacious and breathable, it has a kitchen equipped with all you need if you want to cook whilst there 🥰🥰 there is a convenience store just 2 mins away, which is fantastic. Also a couple of pubs in the same street 👌🏼👌🏼 the beach is 5 mins away, and when you get there you can actually take a 50 mins stunning walk along the shore and you get to Filey. You don't actually feel tired from it because the view is breathtaking. We only stayed for 3 nights but it is sooooo much more than we hoped for and worth everything single peeny. It was so cheap for the hidden gem it is !!! 🥰🥰 it was hard to leave 😂 Also, as a last observation, the host has been in touch in the last month before the visit date, just to give instructions, offer to answer any questions, inform about check in/out and things you can do during staying. I cannot thank you enough for such comfort and kind treatment. Will recommend to everyone and hoping to return one day ❤❤❤

There isn't much we didn't like. Everything was 95% perfect..... The only thing - the mattress on the main bed is quite hard.... 🙄🙄 my sister, who slept on the right sure said she felt the mattress was lower on her side and she kept slipping on a side during night.... The pillows were thin and also hard... Depends on the person, doesn't it? My family and I we all need big fluffy soft pillows.. Quilts were a bit too thin and we were a bit cold during the night.... No one will have this problem in the summer though, I bet, plus i am the kind of person to always be cold.... I did send an email few days before the booking date to ask for extra pillows and blankets, they did provide them, I just think the sleeping situation could slightly improve - do get like a mattress topper for both main bed and sofa bed, and softer pillows ... Nothing major to complain about. We were just sad for having to leave 😆🙄

A lovely break over the New Year. We will be back.....

Sunrise Cove worked out really well for us (Mum, dad, 8-year old daughter and dog). Apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. The Bay resort has excellent facilities (warm, indoor pool and gym particularly welcome) and the beautiful beach is 10 minutes walk (dog really appreciated that !). Filey is a 5-minute drive with lots of places to eat and has its own well maintained seafront to stroll along. We would definitely go back !

We had another wonderful stay at The Bay. First time a Sunrise Cove. Beautiful, very clean and comfortable apartment. Kathryn was a very kind, helpful, and generous host. We will look forward to staying again.
