We loved staying here. The couch and bed were both so comfortable. The kitchen was set up very nicely. The best part of the whole place was the view. It was unbelievable! Looks like a back drop of a movie. Every time we walked out on the patio we were in awe. You do have to walk a bit to get to your car but it was beautiful walk so we never minded it.
The fees for parking and resort were a little off putting but I think its common for most places.

This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort, and we love the resort and beautiful location!
The particular location of unit 9205 itself is gorgeous, with an expansive view of the ocean and mountains.
This is the 2nd time that we have rented this particular unit, which uses Vacasa for maintenance.
The first time 3 years ago was great, but this time Vacasa was worthless. We reached out to them on the first day when the microwave stopped working, while simply warming a mug of coffee. They promised to bring a temporary microwave repeatedly, but never did our entire stay, which was 5 nights.
Also the deck door had great difficulty locking, which Vacasa said they would look into immediately. After literally 70 attempts we were able to lock it, but decided never to use the door again just in case. There were other issues as well, such as the tvs not working, but in paradise it's a minor thing.
In summary, Vacasa was filled with empty promises.
We will no longer stay in a unit which uses their services, and obviously we will not recommend Vacasa.
