Ari rue du wher and her husband and family are friendly, professional and more than welcoming. I was on crutches for 8 nights and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Safe, clean, close to everything I will be back. Thank you again

Clean, comfortable and compact

It was clean, cosy, compact and secure. Host was kind & considerate.

To be honest, I only stayed one night. It was claustrophobic for me and located directly off of a busy dual carriageway, which, with my disability made it precarious. Tea & coffee-making facilities were external to the room, and breakfast was two slices of supermarket bread.

Loved it!

Only stayed one night but they waited up for us to check in super late and made us an amazing breakfast early so that we could depart by 8am the next day. The bed was super comfy and had great aircon. Would recommend staying here before getting a ferry to Nusa Penida as it’s super close to the port!

Agung's has been a family homestay since the grandfather lived here

I have some dietary needs and restrictions: 1) I need to manage my cholesterol because I had a heart block, and a blocked artery that required a stent. But I do not want to take cholesterol statins, so I have to strictly control my diet. 2) I have Age-related Macular Degeneration, Wet In my left eye, Dry in my right, and I can stabilise that situation by taking AREDS 2 supplements and eating certain foods. So the eating situation, at Agung's, was perfect for me, or for anyone who has to manage their diet for health reasons. With seven choices for breakfast, I could choose what was helpful for me, avoid what was not good for my heart, and use the fully equipped kitchen to prepare extras for myself. For example, I requested just one egg - boiled (not two eggs, in an omelette, or scrambled), and I requested tofu or tempe (instead of white-flour noodles, or white-bread toast, or white rice), and I could make my own toast (sourdough wholemeal, from the close GrandLucky Supermarket), in the guest kitchen. Plus fresh fruit and tea/coffee were provided. The staff were not at all bothered about my eccentric breakfast eating, although most guests would be very happy with the seven choices for breakfast. I also liked that there was a hot/cold water dispenser in the guest kitchen, and a good-sized guest fridge, where I was able to keep a week's supply for other meals (although there are some nice healthy eating options in local warungs, especially Lilla Warung - in Jalan Bumi Ayu).

I had seen a report, on the booking.com website, that there were rooms with a little enclosed courtyard, or some rooms that opened to the garden. So I requested, in my booking, to have a room without the courtyard - so, for my week's stay, I would be looking at plants, not courtyard walls. Well, within minutes of making my booking, there was a response that I had been allocated Room 02, which opened to the garden. The room was good, and there was a table and chairs under cover outside, but there was a big window facing the breakfast tables: that turned out to be a problem for me, at night. On three nights - of my week's stay - there were guests sitting at those tables, and socialising quite loudly, until late at night. So I wasn't able to go to sleep until the socialising guests left those breakfast tables. On one night, at midnight, I went out and asked a group of four if they could go to their rooms to do their talking: "It's midnight, and I'd like to go to sleep. My room is just there." That situation was a problem for me, caused by guests who liked to socialise until late - not an easy problem for Agung's to fix!

The family is simply amazing and awesome. Very friendly, do their best to help you, easy going. Good breakfast every morning (gonna miss that). Location is great with 2 nightmarket close by. 2 places to shop regulare food as well nearby by walking distance. They reply fast on whatsapp. Arranged so I got my clothes washed nearby. Really, it is a very nice place, I loved my stay here. Wifi worked fine for me as well, I know for some this is important :) Only reason why I do not give them 10 is because 10 is like PERFECTO and hardly any place is PERFECT.

There is a place nearby that play very loud "music" (I dont know what it is called) almost everynight I think. You can hear it very good inside. They can sometimes stop around 00.30. This did not really bother me too much, just nice to know about if you are sensitive to sound and go to bed very early :) There was some mosquitos at start, but we found the issue and it was resolved by the dad in the house. Desk to work on is abit small, I resolved this by buying my own to use for my stay in Bali, problem solved :) I work remote and needed good desk + chair to work in. Overall not much to complain about :)

We unfortunately had a very short stay here, however it was one of the best stays we had in Indonesia. The room looked really new, was very clean and the bathroom and shower were super comfortable! There were a lot of breakfast options, also vegetarian/vegan friendly and it was delicious. The owners are super friendly and we would definitely recommend staying here.

A perfect base for Sanur Beach

The hostess was incredibly helpful and nice. We were offered Balinese coffee almost immediately and given the WiFi password. We were assisted with a Grab Taxi translation and also permitted to leave some of our things for a period of time while we travelled elsewhere. We have already booked to regular the other end of this trip. A great location for the beach (15 minute walk) even less if you fancy a burger at McD’s and local warungs, some other stores and a Circle K are all very close by. Thank you 🙏

Great stay for the value

Agung’s Annex is located centrally in Sanur. I was only staying one night but the owners took such a good care of me. I was able to leave my luggage one day earlier and when I arrived everything was moved to my room which was very clean and spacious. Last but not least breakfast was also delicious. Thank you for all your help.

The perfect homestay! highly recommend

Outstanding!! the room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having a private little patio. The AC worked well. The shower had good pressure and was hot. The included breakfast was delicious. the staff were very friendly and helpful, they even let us hang out for a little while after checkout to eat lunch. We were allowed to use the kitchen, which was so nice. The location was nice, close to many local restaurants and even a night food market. only a short walk to the beach. just loved it! we are planning to return.

A peaceful haven in hectic Bali

The room was immaculate and very spacious. The bathroom was big and the walk in shower was very nice..AC worked well. Breakfast was delicious.

Comes with breakfast, Arie is very responsive. Room is clean: including sheets, comforter, pillows and pillowcases (smells like fresh laundry). Spacious bathroom. You are allowed to use the kitchen. It is a safe space and you are close to the beach and several restaurants.

Incredible homestay with kind host :)

What a wonderful homestay with a very kind host. The property is beautiful, close to the main attractions but nestled away in a quiet corner. The rooms are beautifully designed and the bed is amazing, soooo comfortable! Breakfast is delicious, you can choose from a menu and select a time, great service. We will be visiting Agung's Guesthouse again soon and are very excited to go back :)

De locatie was voor ons er fijn. De mensen er lief! De meubels waren netjes. Modern. Nieuwe airco. Badkamer zag er ook netjes uit.

Het beddengoed en de handdoeken stonken heel erg. Hele vieze doordringende geur. Zag er wel schoon uit. Maar stonk heel erg.

Das Frühstück, grosse Auswahl. Das grosse Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer. Das es sehr sauber war.

Das man die Strasse hört. Das um halb 7 der Rasen gefegt wird. Die relativ grosse Hunde, da ich Angst vor Hunden habe.
