Welcome to Gager on the Mönchgut Peninsula!
This thatched-roof vacation home is located in the idyllic fishing village of Gager in the UNESCO Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve on Mönchgut.
The property features two living units connected by a shared entrance area. One of these units is rented out as vacation accommodations. Located at the foot of the Zicker Alps, it offers peace and quiet amid unspoiled nature.
With an area of approximately 100 square meters, this 18th-century Büdnerhaus can accommodate up to four adults and one child in a travel crib. The first floor features a living room with a fireplace, an open kitchenette with a small dining area, and a bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible shower and toilet. Through direct access to the terrace, complete with a beach chair, you can catch your first glimpse of the rolling landscape of the Zicker Mountains. The upper floor features two bedrooms and a guest restroom.
In the garden, you’ll find our Finn Art barrel sauna made of Nordic spruce wood. The barrel sauna features a ventilation system based on traditional Finnish construction methods. Thanks to its round design, the sauna heats up quickly and the temperature remains stable. The temperature can be adjusted up to 100 degrees Celsius using the electric sauna heater. The sauna can accommodate up to 4 people, and the appropriate sauna infusion essence is provided for guests.
The property includes a large garden with old orchard trees, as well as a barbecue area for guests’ use. Additionally, two car parking spaces and a bicycle storage room are available right next to the house. The gas-fired central heating system is located in the adjacent outbuilding.
The small fishing village of Gager boasts not only a small harbor but also unspoiled nature nestled amid an impressive hilly landscape. You can reach the natural beaches via the numerous biking and hiking trails.
A bus stop is within walking distance (approximately 150 meters) of the vacation rental.

This thatched-roof vacation home was renovated, furnished, and decorated in 2021 with great attention to detail.
The living room features a comfortable sofa with a table and a modern smart TV. A wood-burning stove provides extra coziness, especially during the colder months. (Firewood is not provided.) The open kitchenette is equipped with an oven, a ceramic-top stove, a dishwasher, a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a refrigerator. A small dining area invites you to relax together. From the living room, you can access the adjoining terrace with patio furniture and a beach chair, from which you can enjoy the view of the garden or the Zicker Mountains.
The two bedrooms on the upper floor are accessible via a spiral staircase. Each features a double bed, nightstands, and wardrobes. A special highlight is our loft bed, which—when the weather is nice—offers a view of the Rügen Bodden and our own garden.
The accessible bathroom on the first floor is equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink. There is also a small guest restroom upstairs.
