Clavature Suite

The best accommodation of our Venice, Florence and Bologna trip We chose city centre locations for our trip, knowing that sometimes you have to compromise on the accommodation to get them. We made no compromise here. The apartment could hardly have been more central, and it was excellent in every respect. Our host was wonderfully responsive to everything we asked, including arranging a taxi to the airport. The apartment was spotlessly clean, the bathroom and shower were excellent, and the kitchen was very well equipped. There was even a full Nespresso machine with a generous supply of pods in a range of flavours. The bedroom was spacious, and the double glazing kept city centre noise to a minimum. The only thing to be aware of is that there isn’t a separate living area, though that didn’t matter to us during a short stay. Of all the places we stayed on this trip, this was the best. We would happily stay again.

Clean, comfortable, great location. It’s on a small street very close to the main piazza with many restaurants to choose from. Lovely to wander out to the piazza on a summer night and hang out on the steps with everyone else listening to the band. From the apartment you hear the music until late. But it was like white noise, not bothersome. View of ancient adjacent buildings was magical. Veronica very helpful, arranged my taxi when I left. Air conditioning was more than enough during hot weather late August.

Can’t think of anything. No swimming pool, ha ha.

Excellent location, walking distance from train station. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Loved everything

The host greeted me in the street and led me to the apartment. Central to everything and major piazza. And the apartment was very secure, clean and comfy. When I left she arranged a taxi for me before I even asked. She was gracious and warm and easy to reach. She even left a bottle of prosecco in the fridge.

A little half & half for coffee would have been nice. Otherwise, perfect.
