Large airy room. Friendly helpful staff who did their best to rectify the problems we encountered. The location was nice, but at the top of a very steep hill above the town. Luckily there was a regular bus service so this wasn’t a problem!
Room not serviced during three night stay, despite written info which said it would be after two nights. Dreadful continental breakfast on Monday when kitchen was closed. The only bread on offer was pumpernickel, until they finally found some white sliced! Even on the other days no brown bread was available. The shower was really tricky -either boiling hot or freezing cold.

A very agreeable place to stay for five nights while we celebrated with family nearby. We had a very clear sense that the staff enjoyed working there. It says a lot for the ownwr manager.

A member of the staff, called Lucy, was excellent and extremely helpful. The breakfast was good.
The room was very tired and dated. While the bed linen was clean and of good quality, the mattress was very soft. There was an ancient tatty chair in the room and the curtains barely covered the windows. The bathroom didn't appear to be particularly clean but the shower worked well. We were very disappointed with it and if we'd had more time we would have gone somewhere else.
