Location is second to none. Steps from the most beautiful sandy beach and attached to a lovely beachfront restaurant with friendly staff. The rooms are very big and the kitchen is extremely well stocked so if you like cooking you'll have everything you need including a large fridge freezer, hob, oven, toaster, microwave, plus dishwasher and even washing machine although we didn't use these. There's a coffee machine but it's worth asking the host which brand of pods so you can buy some as there were only two pods for a 1 week stay. Loads of towels which was great as we were constantly swimming and showering so nice other than have dry towels on hand. The bed in the main bedroom is huge and comfy enough, then in the lounge there are two full size single beds which you can use as a sofa by day - not kids beds, suitable for adults. Showroom is lovely - very quirky with a porthole window so you can see the sea while in the shower! Plenty of hot water except for two days where we couldn't seem to get any - maybe the people in the flat above had used it all? not sure, but overall it's fine. Outside there is a huge decked area which you share with the flat attached to the side. There was only one man next door during our week who we rarely saw but I imagine if there was a family you would lose your privacy as the deck does look in to your lounge, but the bedroom is on the other side so is always private. The deck has a huge picnic table and benches for outdoor dining. The restaurant is open (in April) until 9:30pm but it isn't loud and actually creates a lovely ambience with the chilled music - we were always gutted when they closed and the fairy lights and music went off. Not sure what time they stay open to in peak season, but it's not a rowdy place at all.

Lack of comfortable outdoor seating was a shame. Last time we stayed, about 10 years ago, there were big bean bags to chill in on the deck but this time it was hard wood benches only with nothing soft to lounge on or sunbathe on. It's fine as you can always lie on the beach but if you have kids taking a nap indoors it's nice to sunbathe on the deck. Hopefully they put something out for the peak season. Only other gripe is the patio door doesn't lock from the outside so if you want to take a stroll on the beach or go for food, you have to lock it from inside and exit the flat via the front of the building then walk round to the beach. Please fix the door :)
