About this house rental

Newly renovated bright clean quiet cozy semi basement suite. It is in a prestigious convenient location on a quiet tree-lined street.

Bright clean quiet rooms in a two bedrooms, one full washroom semi basement suite with a full kitchen and a separate entrance.

Jericho beach, UBC Pacific Spirit Park, café, restaurants are all within the walking distance. Lord Byng pool centre is only 3 minutes walk away, which has a full size pool, sauna, hot tub and fitness centre. Short drive to or bus ride to UBC, downtown and Granville Island. We provide everything you need for your stay, from kitchen essentials including stove, toaster, microwave coffee maker and more.

Walk straight to the backyard from the side path and You will see the entrance to the suite. The passcode to the lock box will be provided on the check in day.

Other things to note
No smoking, no marijuana and other drugs. No party and no loud noise. The quiet time is from 11:00pm to 7am each day.

We had a lovely stay. The location was perfect with access to UBC campus and many shopping/dining options. The host was super helpful and accommodating - we had to change our plans last minute due to an injury, and she helped make the transition smooth and stress-free.

The location was perfect for my husband and i and adult grandaughter. Located in close proximity to the University of BC, where our Grandaughter is a student we were able to easily commute back and forth, help her move residences and have her stay at the Verbo with us. We also appreciated the easy 25 min drive from the airport. On street residential parking was readily available. Access to the numerous beautiful beaches we visited was a very manageable drive.The totally self contained suite with 2 bedrooms, comfortable beds, and nicely appointed kitchen living area provided a comfortable stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this VRBO home! The location was perfect- just a short distance from UBC, and it was so easy to get to all the major sights in the area. The house itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everything I needed was right there, and I appreciated the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area!

We were very happy with our stay! A quite and good location for our family visit in Vancouver. The place was perfect for us (3 adults), enough space, nice bedrooms, all kitchen supplies were there, table and a couch (is not on the pictures but it was very nice to have a place to sit and relax). Lucy was wonderful on the communication, check in and out was seamless. The beds were very comfortable, pillows and linens soft and cozy. Great shower and spacious bathroom. We'll stocked kitchen. We were 2 adults with my 92 year old dad and a 2 year old granddaughter for a nap before a family wedding. Highly recommend. Great value and easy to get everywhere! linens were

This was a wonderful place for us to stay while visiting our kids at UBC. The apartment is in a quiet residential area, close to excellent bus lines. We rented a car, and there is plenty of street parking available. My elderly mom needed a place with only a few stairs, and Lucy described it perfectly. With her walker, she was able to access the apartment. However, this would not be a wheelchair-accessible unit. I would highly recommend this property!

This quiet suite provided everything we needed for our visit to Vancouver. We were attending an event at UBC and the transportation options were convenient and walking was possible. The neighbourhood is safe to walk at night. Beds are excellent, great shower, bright and clean. There is not a TV or chairs/sofa for comfortable sitting. Only 1 small window with backyard view. Absolutely recommend staying. Lucy and Jimmy were responsive and welcoming.

Lucy and Jimmy were amazing hosts. The space was exactly as listed. Our beds were super comfy too! Lucy and Jimmy were quick to respond and helpful. We had an issue arise that needed their attention, and they promptly came to help, and were respectful of our space and property. Very accessible by the bus and easy to get to the amazing food and shopping that kits has to offer. Our last night we went to the Dark Table restaurant and it was an experience we will never forget! Highly recommend this space to couples, or families with older children. There is no TV or “living room” so if this is something of importance to you, I’d bring an iPad or tablet to have your entertainment. Would absolutely stay again!

First of all let me say that the suite was very clean and Lucy was a very lovely and attentive host. That being said, I don’t know how the suite passed inspection to become a licensed rental unit and I was extremely shocked when I checked in. There was a very overpowering mold/mildew smell that permeated the entire suite. We opened the windows, bought scented candles, and Lucy supplied us with an air purifier in an attempt to alleviate the odour. Nothing we did helped in the least. I was informed that the house was built in the 1920’s so I suspect that the issue is in the cement foundation, which wouldn’t have been sealed, and in the wood framing of the building. That was the most concerning issue, from a health perspective. The other issue of notable concern was that the windows were all barred. I understand wanting to make the suite secure, but from a fire escape perspective, it definitely wasn’t ideal. The other issues were more superficial; there wasn’t a living room area (which is on me for not noting it’s absence in the description of the suite), the uneven flooring throughout the suite, the hard beds and just adequate bedding (lack of a top sheet!), and the “handyman” finishes throughout the suite. In addition, the advertised backyard sitting area was in disrepair and unusable. My sister and her husband, who has respiratory issues, couldn’t stand to spend any amount of time in the suite and had to find other lodgings. I was very disappointed.

The unit is located in a nice quiet upscale neighborhood with lots of free street parking. Rooms were very clean and the kitchen well stocked with eating and cooking utensils. Lucy was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Wonderful property for a small family. Owner was very responsive to our needs while we stayed. Please note there is no living space just bedrooms, bath and kitchen. We weren’t home a great deal but did not realize that when booking so just be aware of that is something you need. Overall great stay and courtesy host.

We were mostly looking for something quiet to visit UBC with a prospective student but also not too far from places like Gastown where we had friends to visit. Loved this location - went for a run one morning and loved the neighborhood - beautiful area. Lucy was very communicative and everything with our stay was a breeze.
