Beautiful quiet location that provided a wonderful counterpoint to big cities like Tokyo and Osaka or Kyoto. Great insight to more tradition Japanese country life. Particularly enjoyed the wonderful Goemon-buro, relaxing at the wnd of the day with a beer and a view of the mountain
Not a negative, but expect having to adjust to tatami mats, futon beds, sitting on the floor, steeper staircases and low ceilings of traditional Japanese houses with an outside shower room

"Beautiful location and architecture. The exterior and interior were both beautiful, and the room temperature was comfortable using the heater they provided. The futons were comfortable and the outside..."
