Great location at a cost

Great location, clean and comfortable.

When we arrived the apartment was very musty smelling as was the fridge. Took several hours to air the place out. Very little to no basic staples provided . Definitely need a certain level of fitness to climb the stairs to the apartment . Very expensive for what we received.

A stunning, peaceful slice of heaven

We loved the size of the space, the two bathrooms, the view, the comfort, the ease of settling in and using everything, the proximity to the shops, restaurants and cafes, and the peacefulness of the property. We also loved how responsive the owners were when the showers wouldn't heat up one of the evenings and how easy it was to sort out! And even though we didn't love hauling our bags up the stairs because we are so unfit, the view and the tranquility made it worth the climb. We would 100% return and do it all again!

The deck and ability to eat outside with a view. Good kitchen and food basics needed for cooking. Good shower - a comfortable place to stay.

There were big cruise ships in on our first two days. This did not impact our accommodation but did make Paihia and surrounding unpleasantly crowded. Next time we will check the cruise schedule

Great stay overall, would stay again

The place was beautiful, with lovely views. All the facilities are great, it's modern and stylish indoors, with fast wifi, a smart TV and even a bidet. It's within walking distance of the town centre. The cleaner was very nice and accommodating, as were the owners when we needed a small problem sorted.

The off-street parking can be a little difficult to navigate while other guests are also using it, as it is tight and the driveway is steep, which is to be expected in the hilly North. If you're a decent driver and he a spotter, you'll be fine though.

Fabulous accommodation here at Paihia Central Apartments. Everything you need for a comfortable few nights. Hosts are very lovely and helpful, views over the Bay of Islands are fab. We weren’t so lucky with the weather (North Island’s stormy 2023 summer) but enjoyed our stay regardless. Would recommend keeping your luggage light, as there are plenty of steep steps up to the house.

getting your car up & down from the parking area can be a bit of a challenge, especially if there are other cars parked there. This is because the short ramp up to the parking area is quite steep. It’s also on a bend in the road which adds to the challenge

Really nice place with a lot of small amenities and a really cozy feeling. The studio is perfect for staying a few nights to explore the bay of islands, Since there is not much room to store the luggage, staying longer than a few days the studio becomes quite narrow.

It was stated in the initial Email that the apartment would be unlocked an the keys would be on the main table. However, the apartment was locked and only after a call with the hosts did they tell me that the keys were in a lockbox. Would have been nice, if this information was available in the initial email.

This is a wonderful place: EVERYTHING is great!! Perfect location in the center of Paihia, very friendly hosts, amazing place with nice living room (Netflix on TV), big sleeping room, great bathroom and washing machine, fully equiped kitchen ánd a great terrace, very clean, good Wifi, parking ... we could live there!
