Wir wurden sehr nett in dem schönen und charmanten Haus empfangen und die Dame des Hauses war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir konnten auf dem abgeschlossenen Hof parken. Das war zwar recht eng, aber sehr sicher (teure Fahrräder auf dem Fahrradträger) und man konnte sich problemlos mit den anderen Gästen bzgl. Ein- und Ausfahrt arrangieren. Es war in unserem Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk zwar sehr warm, aber es war nunmal ein heißer Tag und über die Fenster ist es über Nacht stark abgekühlt. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wurde in Gemeinschaft mit den anderen Gästen an einem großen Tisch eingenommen, was sehr unterhaltsam und kommunikativ war (je ein Paar aus F, GB und D). Das Zentrum des wunderschönen Chartres ist in 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

Die Möbel sind teilweise schon abgewohnt. Etwas Käse zum Frühstück wäre schön.

This Bed and breakfast has 4 rooms in total (3 being at first floor) and accommodation is in a completely separate building from the host. The accommodation was somewhat dated but very clean and there were some attractive character features. It was very hot when we visited (mid August) and whilst decent portable room fans were provided, the bedrooms were still very warm. On site parking was provided as requested and this was easy to access and very secure. The hosts were friendly although only spoke French. The best aspect was a really excellent and generous continental breakfast (including a range of homemade jams) which was a credit to the host.

We booked 3 rooms some months prior, and one of these was a "suite with garden view" (this being at higher charge). This booked garden room was not offered to us on arrival and we were given an inferior upstairs room. The host did not mention anything until we queried this and we were then advised that this garden room was double booked and would not be offered to us. The host repaid the difference in room rates however it was very much up to us to raise this and we felt that given that we had booked this room several months prior, and with no email correspondence beforehand to say there was an issue, the allocation of the rooms and the explanation given was for the convenience of the host and not us.
