About this house rental

Luxury four-bedroom house located in a village setting a short distance from Stirling. The house, which comfortably sleeps 8 people, is an ideal base for large families, groups of friends looking for a luxury break or a special occasion. It features a large lounge with a wood-burning stove, a sun room with access to the upstairs patio area and the outside decking in the ample 1 acre garden and pond area with BBQ and outside furniture. Three of the bedrooms are en-suite while the fourth has use of the large downstairs bathroom. The large dining/kitchen (separate 8 seat dining room) features large free standing fridge/freezer and two double ovens. The house also features a large downstairs game's room which includes: pool table, table-tennis, Wii console, Play station 3 console as well as 42 and 50 inch televisions. There is ample parking for four vehicles and a two car garage.

This is an amazing property. Spacious, comfortable, beautiful decor and gardens and a fabulous location. Easy access to Stirling, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, and close to some wonderful walks. The owners were very helpful and responsive to all our questions. Enjoyed walking to the excellent cafe at the nearby Deanston distillery. We had a fabulous week at Burnside House!

The house was magnificent and the grounds and gardens were beautiful. So much more than we expected. If you are visiting Scotland this is the perfect location. Brenda, the home owner was so nice and went above and beyond.

Our stay was brilliant. The location enabled our first time visitors to Scotland to explore many of the sights they had heard of for many years. Storm Eowyn tried to disrupt our stay but Jimmy and Brenda quickly supplied a generator and made sure we had power when it went off. Would definitely go back again.

From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel welcomed, going above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. They truly thought of everything, and the property was well equipped with all the amenities we could need and more. The location was perfect—centrally located, yet private and peaceful, giving us a sanctuary to unwind after long days of exploring. We couldn’t have asked for a better base to see the sights. The comfort and beauty of the house made it feel like our own Scottish home away from home, and we felt relaxed and recharged every time we returned. A heartfelt thanks to our hosts for making this such a memorable trip. We can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed as a family at Brenda and Jimmys house . All I can say is Whoooo what a place , it was absolutely first class . So much to do for the kids and the adults in the games room . We had a wonderful stay. The house is very spacious and beautiful and has everything you could ever ask for and more. The youngsters enjoyed the gaming room very much. The location is perfect to visit the most popular places in Scotland. Even the weather was good (not too hot or cold), only rain at night or when we were inside and even a few sunny days. The communication with Brenda and Jim was also very nice : they asked if everything was in order, they were nearby if necessary but they respected our privacy also. A house to be recommended.

Unfortunately my wife had an accident a few days before departure so we could not travel and only my daughter, her children and her life partner had the pleasure to stay at Burnside House. At least we could see many photos from the place and the beautiful surroundings. My family really enjoyed their stay there and said in the house everything hast been nicely prepared. Of course we try another attempt in the future in order to get to Burnside House as soon as possible!

We had an amazing time in Scotland and loved this property. The amount of space for our party of 6 was perfect and there are so many things to do. The house was so spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything you could need for a full week’s vacation. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and the area is peaceful and stunning with lots to do in the surrounding area. We hope to return another time ! Highly recommended by us !

The house is very nice and it has more then enough space for 8 people. Cause of it's location in Stirling district it's an ideal "base" for trips to Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Highlands or Speyside. The local distillery of Deanston is just a 5 minutes walk away.

Pictures don’t do the house justice. It was much bigger than expected. Plenty of room for everyone which also allowed for privacy. There was nothing that I wanted or needed that wasn’t available. Loved it for precious family time. Host was very good and available if needed.

Outstanding. Everything you need, lots of thoughtful extras. We loved the games room and the big table to sit around to eat altogether. Rooms were clean and comfortable and there was so much space in the house to spread yourself around. Best holiday accommodation we've ever had. The feeling of space for extended family was perfect. So many activities such as a pool table, table tennis, play station etc Brenda and Jim are lovely hosts. On hand if ever we needed help with anything while completely respecting our privacy. The area has so many historical and natural attractions. We had a lovely boat ride on Loch Lomond. Also seen the Royal Yacht Britiannia, which was amazing. Can also recommend The Woodside in Doune for food. Absolutely delicious. All in all, a perfect holiday. Thanks again Brenda and Jim.

The best house ever, so nice, sooooo big, so wonderful! The hole family was flashed, everything was perfect. We werde really relaxed and happy in this very big house and very big garden. Great service: after one week changing towels and lines. The neighbarhood and the nights were quiet, we slept so well. And the landscape around is really wonderful. Jim and Brenda, thank you very much for this wonderful holiday, a perfect holiday.

It was our first time in Scotland and the house was so welcoming we were tempted to cancel sight seeing just to enjoy the comfort and game room! The location was ideal! We did 5 day trips and different directions and saw so much of the country thanks to the central location. Hosts were perfectly non-intrusive but available for needs and everyone loved having a dedicated bedroom AND bathroom! Such a radical home, I’d come back in a heart beat!!

The home is amazing. Incredibly well designed and built. Everything functioned perfectly. The spaces both indoor and out are beutifully finished. Brenda and Jim, were gracious and easy to work with. They were responsive to any inquiry. Doune is small but has a couple of greay things to do. We recommend Doune Castle, the tour is very unique. It was the setting for Monty Python's Holy Grail and the series Outlander. Deanston Distillery is not a marque name, but the people and the cafe make it a great experience. If you and your family need a base of operations centrally located in Scotland you will be hard pressed to do better than Burnside House. We would never hesitate to stay there again. Our family prefered this home to the $9M Log Home we stayed in Montana last year.
