Fantastic place in a picture perfect setting!

We had the most amazing two week stay at the Coach house. Gavin & Linzi are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The house is very spacious and has everything for your everyday needs,great for a family holiday of all ages. The location is perfect as it's only a ten minute drive to Stirling town yet you would think you were in the middle of nowhere with outstanding views. It was great having the cows so close to the house and gave us many hours of amusement with the added bonus of seeing one of the calves being born and naming the one that was born on the date we arrived. This house has given us great memories to treasure that we didn't want to leave, we also now call it the Coo Hoose. Would definitely book again. Thank you Gavin & Linzi.

Beautiful house, clean and spacious everything you need is supplied. Perfect location for holiday. The cows are very entertaining. Hosts are friendly, provided lovely welcome tray. Highly recommended, we'd love to return one day.

WE ENJOYED STAYING HERE. IT WAS CONVENIENT TO ALL OF THE CASTLES, GARDENS AND OTHER SITES AROUND STIRLING, UP TO PERTH AND EASTWARD. THE HOUSE IS LOCATED ON THE OWNERS FARM. IT WAS PEACEFUL AND QUIET. IT HAD ALL THE AMENITIES LISTED IN THE SITE. IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AFTER A BUSY DAY TOURING. WHILE BEING IN A RURAL SETTING, YOU ARE CLOSE TO ROADS TO GET TO ALL THE THINGS THERE ARE TO DO. THE EDINBURGH AIRORT IS ONLY 40 MINUTES AWAY.

Spacious and well equipped house with cattle in a farmyard out the window. The cows looked like they envied our outdoor happy hours! Once you get on Chalmerston Road, you need to read a very small blue sign to find it. Perfect location near tourist spots in Stirling and environs and close to the most interesting small towns. Only criticism is there were no drawers for unpacking, so I lived out of my suitcase.

This house was the perfect base for our two weeks in Stirling. Linzi and Gavin are an amazing couple who were very helpful and accommodating. The house was in a peaceful farm setting and had all the amenities that we needed. The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed watching the cows, pheasants, hares, ducks and many types of birds.

You could not find a better place to stay for a family holiday in the centre of Scotland. It is also great for couples travelling together. The location is excellent. Just a stone’s throw from Stirling and close to many great attractions. We were able to visit the Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Safari Park, Stirling Castle, Glasgow, and the Bridge of Allan. Many more places are also close by. The house is very spacious , comfortable and easily accommodates all. Four bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a play room as well as a large fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. The appliances are top of the line. The views from every window are beautiful. The hosts are welcoming , gracious.and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property.

Ideally located for exploring the Stirling area and beyond. Plenty to do within an easy drive.

We had a brilliant stay, perfect location within 5mins of Stirling town centre but have the countryside location. The house was a perfect base for us and had everything we needed. The children loved watching the cows and the tractor in the field. Linzi gave great recommendations on places to visit. Would recommend and would stay again.

A really big and beautiful home set on a farm and only a few minutes from the nearest City of Stirling. So convenient to all the major roads to be the perfect base to explore Scotland and return to each evening. Perfect space for time together around the large dining table and also providing an additional games room too.. Thoroughly recommend and we hope to return again soon

We stayed 5 adults and 2 children and the property more than fully accommodated us all. We managed to see St Andrews, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Really good spot to drive to places you wish to see. We walked the nearest pub took around 35 min walk but was worth it.

We wanted somewhere to celebrate our golden wedding with the family & we couldn't have chosen a better house or location. We had all the entertainment we needed from our neighbours ( the cows & calves in the field), no need for the tv to be on. We will certainly be recommending the house to family & friends..

An excellent property in a great countryside location but only 10 minutes from Stirling city centre.

The house was warm, clean, spacious and very comfortable. It is in a beautifully setting but central for accessing a wide range of opportunities and activities to meet all the family needs. Gavin and Linzi were accessible and reassuring regarding their Covid preparations and practices, which was very important given current circumstances. Due to limitations on what we could do given Covid restrictions the house and surrounding garden provided the ideal relaxing base for the whole family.

The house is in beautiful countryside with great views. We booked the property due to our holiday in France being cancelled due to Covid and had mentioned this when booking. On arrival there was a variety of French produce awaiting us - what a lovely and thoughtful touch. The house is very spacious, immaculately clean and great for a family or like us just a couple - we will definitely return.

The property is in good location very friendly owners. The house was clean and the shops and city are all easily accessible.

A great house just outside Stirling. Quiet farm location yet with easy access to the town and main roads to explore locally and beyond. The house is well equipped with everything a family needs for a stay. I'd stay here again next time we come.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cowden farm. The accommodation was very spacious and well equipped. Whilst at the property you feel very much out in the countryside yet are just a few minutes drive from the motorway which enabled us to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow for the day, Stirling itself is just 10 minutes away. Our host made us feel very welcome.

Absolutely perfect location for our trip to Scotland to visit family and travel throughout the highlands and major cities sight seeing. The home was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival and accommodated my 5 children, wife and I to a tea we will endeavour to book another stay here on our next visit to Scotland

A lovely house on a working farm . Plenty room , and facilities. We held a family gathering there and everyone commented on how good the house was. The setting was a good base to visit family and friends and see some of the local , the Falkirk wheel , the Blair Drummond park and of course the castle and Wallace monument. Within easy access to a supermarket we organised a delivery for us due within an hour of our arrival . It turned up on time. The bedrooms accommodated us all and we even had a spare. The kitchen had all the usual appliances and accessories. All in all a great house for a family with plenty to do and see in the surrounding area.

This property is unique in that the setting is on a farm yet it is only a few miles from all the attractions the area has to offer. The coach house itself is very spacious with spectacular views. The downstairs bedroom and disabled bathroom are wonderful facilities for those who need them. We had great joy watching the cows give birth to their calves right next door to the house. Plenty of room for kids to play outside and a toy room inside was loved by our children. The whole week was very relaxing and very comfortable.

This house was perfect for our needs. It was large enough for our family, and very comfortable. We loved the farm setting, as it was peaceful and lovely. The location was ideal and allowed for day trips to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Gavin and Linzie were nearby if we needed anything. Very hospitable. We would stay here again.

Had an amazing week with the family here over the Christmas break, the property had everything we needed with plenty of space. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely will stay again as it was also very close to Bridge of Allan where my brother in-law lives so it was great for visiting!

An outstanding “home away from home”, the coach house was both bucolic and inviting, nurtured us in the midst of nature. Nestled between mountains amidst fields of wheat and cattle this place is truly Sterling! Linzy and Gavin you are class and thanks for sharing your home with us. Well appointed and conveniently located from Stirling train station (short taxi ride - remember to call Sandy with Skycap at 01786 818284, amazing service!) a house you can recharge every night as you get prepared for the next day exploring the country. I would strongly recommend this place to any family looking for an awesome place to stay. Scotland and hospitality are synonymous. From the moment we landed in Glasgow, the friendly smiles and the caring and kind attitude of Scots was magnetic. Our family of ten enjoyed the beauty of the Lochs of Lomond and Ness and many in-between, the picturesque Glens and Bens with pinkish purple blooms of Rose Bay Willow Herb, Thistle and the budding Heather, castles of yesteryears and the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, round of golf in Stirling and the raw beauty of Carnoustie. The cottage was roomy, clean and had every thing we needed. Gavin and Linzi were so pleasant and informative. The location is perfect for day trips to so many sites. Our daughter and her family joined us for almost a week of our 11 nights stay. Our granddaughters LOVED the cows. We recommend this very highly. Lynn/Rebecca and family

I have been in Stirling for work since the beginning of April and this is my third rental. I’m glad I saved this one for the end. My other two were in Stirling and Bridge of Allan, which I enjoyed. This one gave me an opportunity to get out of the city and experience the country. I grew up and still live in the Midwest in the US – the farm belt. While I didn’t grow up on a farm, many of my friends did. Watching the mama cows and the calves, being surrounded by plowed fields, well, it was a bit nostalgic. It was also peaceful and relaxing. The Coach House is a lovely, well-appointed home. It’s in a great location to do day trips (but I had already done mine). Thank you, Gavin and Linzi, for your hospitality. To all those who come after me, I know you’ll have a wonderful stay.

A week in Stirling at the "Coach house was perfect. It even rained at night as to keep our sight seeing days dry. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of counter workspace and large frig with icemaker. Gavin and Nancy were super hosts. We all agreed we would love to come back and spend a month at the farm!

My kids loved this house from the first time they saw pictures. Two adults and 5 kids and we still had an extra bed. For visiting Scotland this location is perfect. less than an hour from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Highlands. If we did everything over we would have stayed here instead of Edinburgh and just driven to see what we wanted. Day trips to Falkirk, Kelpies, Linlithgow, Doune, Deanston Distillary, and Castle Cambell. You can spend 2 weeks here and not run out of things to do. House is actually attached to the main house via a barn and there are cows nearby. This had me concerned at first but I was pleasantly suprised that the place didn't smell like a farm. You have a private entrance and as it turns out, this particular farm is a small part of a much larger production farm and this is where the cows have their calves. It is basically the birthing center/maternity ward and everything is picture perfect. You won't get a long list of do's and don'ts from Linzi and Gavin. You just show up to an unlocked house and read the short welcome letter. While enjoying the Tea and Biscuits they left for us. There was even a large milk in the fridge for us. There are big grocery stores within 10 minutes and you are remarkably close to Stirling. Super nice family. Uncle Sandy is a hoot if you get the privilege to meet him. He was the most memorable Scotsman I ever did meet. Back to the house. Kitchen is huge, over sized stove, full size fridge, natural slate floors, long dinning table, dedicated play room for the kids. The house is comfy with 1+ foot thick exterior walls double glazed but vented modern windows. One of those crazy triple bolt locking front door although you don't need locks way out on the farm. We felt super safe being surrounded by large fields and good neighbors. This property is also available via direct contact.
