Harbour Inn

Staff are friendly and helpful. Very convenient for the harbour(!) and for ‘Puffin’ boat trips to Coquet Island. Street parking fairly easy and car park opposite. Our room (#1?) was a very nice mini suite of rooms: bed, lounge with free-standing bath, and bathroom with shower, nicely decorated in a nautical style. Large bed, with good bedside cupboards and lamps, and power sockets (if cupboards were moved way from wall). Good wifi. Bathrobes and good toiletries provided. A fridge had milk for hot drinks, water, Orange Juice and could be used for our own things. Cellophane wrapped croissants and butter and jam were left for a light breakfast. The pub has a nice atmosphere and the beers looked interesting There is a reasonable choice of low and zero alcohol drinks. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced at both lunch and dinner.

Mattress and pillows were both too soft and saggy. Bedside lamps too dim to read by. The pub does not serve breakfast to residents, except what is left in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay — the room was a great size, clean, airy and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful throughout. It overlooks a working fisherman’s yard, which gave the stay a lovely sense of character. Great place for cyclists.

Slightly damp smell and there had been a bit of water damage to the ceiling.

A great value stay - better accommodation than expected for a pub room and great service from friendly and helpful staff.

The location by the harbour

The bed was uncomfortable & curtains didn't keep out any light. The breakfast items were missing from our fridge.
