About this cottage rental
Enjoy a stylish, comfortable and family friendly getaway in Northumberland. This neatly refurbished, centrally-located home for up to 5 is right in the heart of Amble. From the soft furnished lounge to the inviting hot tub in the secure back yard, guests are welcome to enjoy every part of this two bedroom, period town house. There is free street parking and pets are welcome too. This is a popular seaside town in an enviable location, where the sleepy river Coquet meets the beautiful North Sea.
Ambler's Watch has been completely renovated for holidaymakers. Downstairs there is a generous central dining room with a fully equipped kitchen on one side, and a cosy lounge on the other. The lounge has books and games for guests, and a Smart TV too. WiFi is included. The ground floor has hard flooring throughout, making this ideal for cleaning up after young families and pets. In the secure back yard there is space for dogs to visit, a four seater hot tub and a great view of the Amble Clock Tower.
The stairway has been transformed into a gallery of local scenes, all the photos taken by my family. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a shower room/toilet. The first bedroom you pass has a double bed, dressing table, plenty of hanging space for a holiday and the best view in the house: past the clock tower, over the town square, Amble Marina and across the River Coquet to Warkworth Castle.
The second and larger bedroom has wardrobe hanging and drawer space and a fixed single bed with a quality memory foam mattress. The other feature is a high quality zip-and-link bed. This can be optioned as a king size or as two single beds (meaning a room combination of King & Single, or three Single beds).
The house is on a quiet terrace with free parking out front and the garden/park next to the town square at the back. Although the nearest pub and restaurants are just moments away, we are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. Very light sleepers please be aware the friendly neighbouring clock tower does chime at night.
The nearest grassy area for dog walking is less than 1 minute away at the end of our street, on the way to the harbour or promenade.
